  • Patent number: 8708035
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger in modular construction, in particular for facilities operated using large load and/or temperature changes, having an external shell and a number of heat exchanger modules, wherein each heat exchanger module, which is either a preheater, evaporator, or superheater module, has an entry manifold, and exit manifold, and meandering pipes, through which the heat-absorbing medium, in particular water, flows from the entry manifold to the exit manifold, and the heat exchanger modules are also situated in a shared external shell, so that they have the same heat-dissipating medium flowing around them, the evaporator modules being connected in parallel via a steam-collecting drum situated outside the external shell.

  • Publication number: 20130112156
Abstract: A heat exchanger erected vertically for generating steam for solar power plants, including: an outer casing with an inlet and an outlet port for a heat-emitting medium; an inlet and an outlet collector for a heat-absorbing medium, said inlet and outlet collectors lying substantially within the outer casing; and a tube bundle within the outer casing with a number of tube layers including continuous tubes, wherein the heat-emitting medium can flow entirely around same and which are designed as flow paths for the heat-absorbing medium from the inlet collector to the outlet collector. The tube bundle is arranged in a meandering manner, wherein the heat exchanger is arranged according to a forced-flow principle so that the heat-absorbing medium is successively pre-heated, evaporated, and superheated so that a superheated steam exits the outlet collector.

  • Patent number: 8360137
Abstract: A regenerative heat exchanger is disclosed and described for gas streams that perform heat exchange between one another using a buffer that is continuously immersed in the gas streams. The buffer is cleanable by a pivotable blowing arm that uses spray nozzles to clean the buffer. The blowing arm has an axis that is positioned parallel to the flow direction of the gas streams across the buffer and allows for the use of two blowing arms which extend in a mirror image opposite to one another. The spray nozzles each distribute compressed air and/or pressurized water.

  • Publication number: 20100163208
Abstract: A regenerative heat exchanger, including a rotor mounted so it is rotatable, which has at least one first gas volume flow to be heated and at least one second gas volume flow to be cooled flowing through it, as well as a method for operating the regenerative heat exchanger, is provided. The inflowing first gas volume flow enters the rotor at a first front side of the rotor and exits the rotor again at a second front side of the rotor at an outflowing first gas volume flow. To increase the heating performance, a leakage volume flow is captured at the first front side of the rotor and supplied to the inflowing first gas volume flow and/or a leakage volume flow is captured at the second front side of the rotor and supplied to the outflowing first gas volume flow.

  • Publication number: 20090211744
Abstract: The invention relates to a header for a high-pressure apparatus of steam power plants, with the header comprising at least one pipe nipple for welding on pipes for feed water and the pipe nipple protrudes to the outside from the header wall. In the header in accordance with the invention, the pipe nipple is formed integrally from the header wall. As a result, a weld joint between pipe nipple as a first part and the wall of the header as a second part can be omitted, so that the production effort is reduced considerably in the case of large headers with many pipe nipples.

  • Patent number: 5556466
Abstract: In order to improve a coating plant for workpieces, in particular for vehicle bodies, comprising a coat application section, a coat drier section following the application section and comprising a drier booth arranged at a higher level in relation to the coat application section, a skid conveyor on the inlet side passing through the coat application section, the skid conveyor moving workpieces mounted on skid frames through the coat application section at a process feeding speed for the application of the coating, and a drier conveying device following the skid conveyor and conveying the skid frames with the coated workpieces mounted thereon through the coat drier section, such that this is simpler in its construction than the known coating plants it is suggested that the drier conveying device be a drier conveyor following the skid conveyor and moving the skid frames at the process feeding speed along a skid frame path through the coat drier section, that the drier conveyor extend beneath the skid frame path

  • Patent number: 5443738
Abstract: To provide a recovery plant for surplus water paint in paint-spraying booths comprising a circuit of water circulating in the booth, wherein such problems with sedimenting water paint particles no longer arise, it is proposed that a volume flow of water circulating in the booth flow from the circuit of water circulating in the booth through a branch pipe to a preconcentration stage, that the preconcentration stage comprise a ring circuit with an ultrafiltration unit for continuously producing a preconcentrate in the ring circuit and a permeate which leaves the ring circuit, that the permeate flow into the circuit of water circulating in the booth and the preconcentrate into a final concentration stage, that the final concentration stage comprise a ring circuit with an ultrafiltration unit which increases the concentration of the preconcentrate in batches to the final concentrate and produces a permeate which flows into the circuit of water circulating in the booth.

  • Patent number: 5370792
Abstract: In order to improve an apparatus for removing wax particles from circulating water from spray booths, comprising a system tank, to which the circulating water coming from the spray booth can be fed via an inlet, such that an efficient removal of wax particles from the circulating water is possible, it is suggested that a separation zone be provided in the system tank following the inlet, the wax particles floating up into a layer near the surface in this separation zone, and that an intake of a suction means for a floating phase comprising the layer near the surface be arranged in the system tank on a side of the separation zone opposite to the inlet.

  • Patent number: 5000206
Abstract: In a floodwater and a process for floodwashing workpieces wherein the workpiece is immersed in a bath of washing liquid and a workpiece surface is acted upon by at least one jet of washing liquid issuing from a nozzle, in order to achieve optimum cleaning efficiency of the jets with as low pumping capacity as possible, it is proposed that a free jet be used as jet and that the nozzle be guided at a distance from the workpiece surface which at most is approximately twice the length of the jet core of the free jet.
