Patent number: 6588510Abstract: A coil tubing hanger system and a method of installing such system is provided. The coil tubing hanger system comprises a body having an axial opening there through. A slip bowl having a base and housing a slip that can be retained in a first position spaced apart from bowl base and a second position proximate the bowl base is fitted within the opening. The slip has inner teeth. Tubing is fitted within the slip and through the bowl while the slip is retained in the first position. The slip is then allowed to drop to the second position such that the slip teeth bite onto the outer surface of the tubing.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2001Date of Patent: July 8, 2003Assignee: Duhn Oil Tool, Inc.Inventors: Gary A. Patent number: 6543533Abstract: A mandrel rotator is provided is mounted in a housing for coupling to a well casing head. The mandrel rotator comprises of an annular gear having external gear teeth and an axial opening. The annular gear is coupled to a mandrel outer surface, such that rotation of the annular gear causes rotation of the mandrel. A retainer limits or prevents axial movement of gear within the housing. A second gear is coupled to the annular gear for rotating the annular gear.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 2001Date of Patent: April 8, 2003Assignee: Duhn Oil Tool, Inc.Inventors: Robert K. Meek, Rex E. Patent number: 5303774Abstract: A ring seal packer is used for sealing the inside of a specified diameter of API tube. The cylindrical body of the ring seal packer has a pair of circumferential grooves and a pair of rigid seal rings are provided in each such groove. The two rings collectively occupy substantially the entire length of the groove, with no more than a small clearance at the ends for forming a small area orifice through which fluid may flow. Each of the rings has an outside diameter larger than the inside diameter of a specified size of API tube. A longitudinal slot in the ring permits it to collapse to a diameter that fits into the tube as it is pushed into the well. A tang and notch arrangement keeps the rings from rotating relative to each other so that the slots are kept out of alignment. The ring seal packer does not use any elastomeric sealing materials.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 1992Date of Patent: April 19, 1994Assignees: Duhn Oil Tool, Inc., Shell Western E & P, Inc.Inventors: Jay C. Patent number: 4974676Abstract: A ground subsidence wellhead has a lower wellhead assembly mounted on the ground for supporting a casing in tension and an upper wellhead assembly threaded to the top of the casing and spaced from the lower wellhead assembly. The lower assembly has a casing head with aconical bowl for receiving a slip. The slip is wedged between the casing head and casing by compression springs acting between the casing head and the slip, and has asymmetrical teeth for engaging the casing to prevent downward, but allow upward, movement of the casing in the slip.Type: GrantFiled: June 9, 1989Date of Patent: December 4, 1990Assignee: Duhn Oil Tool, Inc.Inventors: Rex E.
