Patent number: 10890259Abstract: Aspects herein include a valve to provide regulated fluid flow. The valve comprises a valve housing having an inlet and an outlet. The valve further comprises a valve seat disposed between the inlet and the outlet of the valve. The valve seat has a seat opening defined by a seat opening dimension and is fixed in relation to the valve housing. The valve further comprises a poppet disposed between the valve seat and the outlet of the valve, the poppet having a seat face opposing the valve seat. The seat face tapers from a poppet large dimension larger than the seat-opening dimension disposed toward the inlet end to a poppet small dimension smaller than the seat-opening dimension disposed toward the outlet end. The valve further comprises a plunger operatively coupled with the poppet as well as a solenoid within the valve chamber operatively coupled with the plunger.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2018Date of Patent: January 12, 2021Assignee: DUKES AEROSPACE, INC.Inventors: Carlos Villanueva, Chad Fleming

Patent number: 10697551Abstract: An inlet pressure valve regulation system to provide a regulated fluid flow includes a housing, first piston assembly, regulating valve, and inlet pressure conduit. The housing has an inlet at an inlet end which receives a pressurized fluid and an outlet at an outlet end which provides the regulated fluid flow. The piston assembly is arranged in the housing and has a first cavity and a control orifice to fluidly connect the inlet to the first cavity. The first piston assembly is configured to regulate the fluid flow. The regulating valve has a first valve chamber, a second valve chamber fluidly connected to a vent, a floating valve seat disposed between the first valve chamber and the second valve chamber, and a valve component. The floating valve seat includes a diaphragm and a seat having a passageway to fluidly connect the first valve chamber and the second valve chamber.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2019Date of Patent: June 30, 2020Assignee: Dukes Aerospace, Inc.Inventor: Carlos Villanueva

Patent number: 9803558Abstract: A redundant valve system to provide a regulated fluid flow includes a housing having an inlet at an inlet end which receives a pressurized fluid, and an outlet at an outlet end which provides the regulated fluid flow, a first piston assembly arranged in the housing having a first cavity, the first piston assembly configured to regulate the fluid flow, and a first fluid connection connected to the first cavity and to a point along the housing at the outlet end. The redundant valve system may further include a second piston assembly arranged in the housing downstream of the first piston assembly having a second cavity, the second cavity having a second fluid connection to a vent, an upstream valve to control the first fluid connection and control a position of the first piston assembly, and a downstream valve to control the second fluid connection and control a position of the second piston assembly.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2016Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: Dukes Aerospace Inc.Inventors: Carlos Villanueva, Bill Lopez

Publication number: 20130061942Abstract: A resettable relief valve is provided that includes a valve body having a valve seat and forming a pressure chamber, a poppet valve coupled to a poppet shaft slidably received in the valve body, a main spring mounted on the poppet shaft and seated against the valve body for urging the poppet valve into a closed position against the valve seat, and at least one spring loaded ball detent mounted in the valve body to apply pressure against the poppet shaft. A method of resetting a pressure relief valve is also provided, and includes mounting a resettable relief valve so that a pressure chamber of the resettable valve is exposed to a pressurized fluid flow and pushing a poppet valve toward the valve body when the poppet valve is in the open position so that a spring loaded ball detent disengages from a second groove on a poppet shaft and reengages with a first groove.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 13, 2012Publication date: March 14, 2013Applicant: DUKES AEROSPACE, INC.Inventor: DUKES AEROSPACE, INC.
