Abstract: The high speed rotary cutters of a machine for automatically severing whole poultry bodies into separate portions are provided with nozzles which direct jets of cold water against the major areas of both surfaces of the cutters to increase their efficiency, and an enclosure which confines the water thrown off from the cutters is provided with a grid which prevents the severed portions from coming into contact with the water being removed from the enclosure.
Abstract: A machine originally constructed for the automatic cutting of fowl, such as chickens or the like, into nine portions can be modified by the selective removal and/or addition of elements to produce fowl cut into any number of symmetrical pairs of portions from one to five.
Abstract: An automatic machine for sectioning poultry comprising a series of knives for performing selected cuts, and includes a mechanism for inserting the poultry carcasses into the machine, as well as improved mechanisms for performing selected cuts and for centering a carcass to be split into two halves.
