Patent number: 11129336Abstract: A dual rotary cutter bale processor operable in a first mode for producing ground material and dispersing ground material for a first use and a second mode for producing cut material and dispersing cut material from the processor for a second use, where the cut material is coarser than the ground material. Material is processed for feeding into a container, bunk, or tire, into windrows on the ground, making piles of material, spreading the material for use as animal bedding, and/or mulching newly seeded areas. A screen and moveable bypass door for each rotary cutter and a position of a deflector direct a cut path such that the bypass doors can be used to force the material through the screens to further reduce size of the material or the deflectors can be used so the material bypasses the screens for dispersal from the processor in a coarser state.Type: GrantFiled: May 1, 2019Date of Patent: September 28, 2021Assignee: DURATECH INDUSTRIES INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: Patrick Bennett, Nicholas Fayville

Patent number: 8516779Abstract: A bale wrapping attachment for a baler that forms round bales is mounted at a rear portion of the baler and includes a support for a supply of wrapping material that is formed as a web and rolled into a roll. The web is passed across a fixed, non-rotating feed bar. The wrapping attachment includes a guillotine type knife that cooperates with a cross frame member forming an anvil. The knife is slidable between a retracted position and a cutting position wherein a knife carried by the cutter engages the cross frame member to sever material underneath the knife. When the knife is in its retracted position, the non-rotating feed bar is moved to a position wherein wrapping material draped over the feed bar contacts exposed surfaces of bale forming belts from the baler, causing the wrapping material to be carried with the belts and into the bale chamber to wrap around the bale.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2011Date of Patent: August 27, 2013Assignee: Duratech Industries International, Inc.Inventors: Patrick D. Bennett, Aaron J. Johnson

Patent number: 8066208Abstract: A bale shredder is mounted on a frame and has a flail that will shred material, such as hay, straw and silage, and an auger receives the shredded material and moves it toward a first end of the auger. The first end of the auger is surrounded by a chamber that has a first opening in an axial direction of the auger that opens into a fan or blower so that material going through the first opening is blown out of a discharge chute. An endless conveyor is mounted adjacent a second opening of the chamber, laterally of the auger, and is positioned to receive material from the second opening. Panels are provided for selectively blocking the first opening when the endless conveyor is to be moving material from the chamber, and for blocking the second opening when the fan is to be used for discharging material. The two different conveyors are selectively used for delivery of shredded material from the bale shredder.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2010Date of Patent: November 29, 2011Assignee: Duratech Industries International Inc.Inventor: Patrick D. Patent number: 7954736Abstract: A wood chipper has a pair of feed rollers, a first of which has a fixed axis position, and a second of which is moveably toward and away from the first feed roller. Springs are provided to urge the moveable roller toward the first feed roller and to a reference position, and an actuator is provided for moving the moveable feed roller away from the first feed roller. A sensor is provided to sense the height of an object on a feed chute as the object approach the feed rollers and cause the actuator to move moveable feed roller away from the reference when the sensor signals the object exceeds a selected amount.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2008Date of Patent: June 7, 2011Assignee: Duratech Industries International Inc.Inventor: Mikel Kallenbach

Patent number: 7793873Abstract: A machine for grinding forage material includes a support frame that supports an enclosure for retaining a bale of forage material. A rotary shredder is positioned within the enclosure where the rotary shredder grinds the bale of forage material and discharges a forage material from the enclosure. The machine includes at least two deflectors attached to the enclosure that deflect the shredded forage material onto a surface where the at least two deflectors are positionable independent from each other.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2009Date of Patent: September 14, 2010Assignee: Duratech Industries International, Inc.Inventor: Russell J. Patent number: 7337603Abstract: A material reclaiming device is positioned below the bale forming of a round baler. The bale forming belts are spaced apart. The reclaiming device underlies a region to the bale chamber to catch material falling through the spaces between the bale forming belts and move the material forwardly, to be recycled or reclaimed into the in-feed region of the baler. A trough is provided under an in-feed drum to receive the material from the reclaiming device and cause such material to be carried with the incoming material into the bale forming chamber.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2005Date of Patent: March 4, 2008Assignee: DuraTech Industries International, Inc.Inventors: Aaron J. Patent number: 6517019Abstract: A tub grinder is used for grinding industrial wastes, including large stumps, lumber chunks and the like. A cover member is pivoted alongside the tub, and is made in two sections. An upright frame section is pivoted near a plane along the bottom of the tub, and extends upwardly to a level at or adjacent to the top of the tub. A cover section is pivotally mounted to the upright frame and can be adjusted about a generally horizontal axis from a generally horizontal position to an upwardly extending position. The upright frame can be tilted outwardly so that the cover section is out of registry with the tub to permit the tub to be loaded.Type: GrantFiled: January 2, 2001Date of Patent: February 11, 2003Assignee: Duratech Industries International, Inc.Inventors: Aaron J.
