  • Publication number: 20070261264
Abstract: In order to provide an easy-to-assemble drier (100) for drying surface-treated workpieces, in particular vehicle bodies (110), which are each disposed on a respective workpiece carrier (109), comprising a drier housing (102) having a drier tunnel (108), through which the workpieces are moved along a conveying direction (112) and which is delimited in a downward direction by a drier floor (116) comprising a plurality of floor elements (118), and a conveying device (138) that conveys the workpieces through the drier tunnel (108), it is proposed that the conveying device (138) comprises a plurality of carrying roller units (140), which are disposed successively in the conveying direction (112) and each comprise at least one carrying roller (142), on which the workpiece carriers (109) rest as they are conveyed through the drier tunnel (108), wherein the carrying roller units (140) are each mountable separately on a respective floor element (118) of the drier floor (116).

  • Publication number: 20010050044
Abstract: In order to provide a walk-on platform arrangement, comprising at least one first sub-platform, which is movable from a rest position in a direction of extension into a working position, and a second sub-platform, which in the working position is disposed behind the first sub-platform, wherein a rear boundary edge of the first sub-platform and a front boundary edge of the second sub-platform in the rest position are spaced vertically apart from one another, with which platform arrangement the risk of accident for an operative walking on the platform arrangement in the working position is reduced, it is proposed that the platform arrangement comprises a guide system, by means of which the relative motion between the first sub-platform and the second sub-platform as the first sub-platform moves into the working position is guided in such a way that the vertical distance between the rear boundary edge of the first sub-platform and the front boundary edge of the second sub-platform in the working position is smal

  • Patent number: 6197175
Abstract: Electrical contacting system for an electrophoretic dip painting plant for motor vehicle bodies, where the bodies are guided through an electrophoretic dip paint bath by an overhead conveyor having hangers for engaging beneath the body carriers. Each conveyor hanger has at least two lower contacting devices secured thereto and each body carrier has at least four upper contacting devices secured thereto. Each upper contacting device has a protective bell open at the bottom and storing an air bubble in the submerged state. In the area of the air bubble the bell has a downwardly concave, partially circular cylindrical support and contact surface and has a horizontal cylinder axis extending transversely to the conveyance direction. At its outer side facing the guide element, two locking elements form a vertical opening therebetween to interact with a locking nose on the guide element where the locking noses pass through the openings formed by the locking elements.
