Patents Assigned to DVSG Patentverwaltungs
  • Patent number: 4924546
Abstract: The pulling over assembly (2, 39) and lasting assembly (13, 40) of a pulling over and lasting machine are capable of being moved apart to enable a pulling over operation to be effected on one shoe at a first station (I) while a lasting operation is being completed on a further shoe at a second station (II). In one embodiment the pulling over assembly (2) moves bodily to the second station (II) at which the lasting assembly (13) is arranged; in a second embodiment the lasting assembly (40) moves to the first station (I) at which the pulling over assembly (39) is arranged. Each assembly (2, 13; 39, 40) has a heel rest (5, 19; 41, 50), the heel rests being so arranged as to carry out without collision the function of holding the shoe against lengthwise displacement.

  • Patent number: 4853997
Abstract: In a side (or side and seat) lasting machine two side lasting assemblies (230) are provided each comprising a side lasting roll (276) having a helical wiper element (282). As the rolls (276) are caused to operate progressively along opposite side portions of the shoe bottom from the heel breast line region toewardly, they are caused to rotate thus effecting an inwiping action on the lasting margin and pressing it against the insole margin. At a predetermined point in such progressive operation, at least one of the rolls (276) is displaced axially inwardly towards one another to enhance the inwiping action. This axial displacement may take place at the ball region of the shoe bottom, i.e. at or just before the end of the operation, and only the "outside" roll (276) or both rolls (276) may be so displaced.

  • Patent number: 4823729
Abstract: Powder is deposited onto an underlying flat belt through a selectively shaped cut-out in a stencil assembly. The desired volume for the deposited powder is achieved by defining a closed volume beneath the deformable belt with a support pad having a spacer receiving opening. Vacuum is applied to this closed volume drawing the belt downwardly against the spacer thereby defining this volume. The spacer is removable so that this volume can be changed by changing the spacer.

  • Patent number: 4777685
Abstract: In a hydraulically operated pulling over and toe lasting machine both the operative position of the heel support (26), i.e. in which it holds the shoe by engagement with its heel end, and the position from which it initially moves to engage the shoe (the "next start" position) are controlled by electronic circuitry. Thus, an inductance switch (118) is actuated when the heel pad (100) engages the heel end of the shoe, said switch causing the supply of fluid to be shut off and locking the heel support in its operative position. For setting the "next start" position, on the other hand, selector switches (122,124) are provided each of which has an associated timer (T1,T2). At the end of a lasting cycle the heel support (26) is first fully retracted and then moves to its "next start" position under the control of the timer associated with the selected switch.

  • Patent number: 4734150
Abstract: The present invention relates to machines which deposit powder in a selected configuration, fuse the powder into a laminate and adhere the fused laminate to a shoe substrate to reinforce the substrate, and more particularly, to instrumentalities to assist the machine operator to properly locate the shoe substrate on the machine.

  • Patent number: 4732645
Abstract: A machine is disclosed for depositing powder in a selected configuration, fusing the deposited powder into a laminate and pressing the fused laminate against a shoe substrate to adhere the fused laminate to the shoe substrate. A shoe substrate to which a fused laminate is to be adhered, supported on a surface and a guide assists an operator in the accurate placement of the shoe substrate on the surface. The guide has a pair of locating surfaces which can be conjointly, horizontally displaced in a first direction toward or away from each other, and independently adjusted horizontally in a direction perpendicular to the first direction.

  • Patent number: 4731152
Abstract: A shoe substrate reinforcing machine for depositing a powder in a selected configuration, fusing the configured powder into a laminate and adhering the fused laminate to a shoe substrate. The machine has a work transfer device which will receive and clamp a shoe part and displace the clamped shoe part to a joint location to adhere the shoe part to a fused laminate. The work transfer device has a support pad on which a shoe part is to be clamped and a clamping structure which includes a lever arm on either side of the support pad each of which includes one or more catches. A swivel bracket assembly includes a swivel bracket having a connecting pin which is releasably secured in the catch and clamps which are secured to the swivel bracket.

  • Patent number: 4723506
Abstract: A machine is disclosed which deposits powder in a selected configuration, fuses the configured powder into a laminate and adheres the fused laminate to a shoe substrate. The machine has a two part clamp which is displaceable from a retracted position to a clamp position. The part that is to clamp the substrate is interconnected with the other part by pins which extend through slots in the clamping part. The slots are wider than the pins so that relative linear and swivel motion is possible between this part.
