Abstract: A folding closure displaceably supportable in an opening to secure the opening. The closure is comprised of a plurality of elongated vertical panels interconnected along their vertical edges by a hinge assembly to permit the panels to fold in an accordion fashion for storage and to extend in an undulating stretched manner to obstruct the opening. The hinge assembly has a plurality of hinge attaching members to pivotally secure a pair of opposed panel connecting posts thereto. Each of the connecting posts is detachably securable to the hinge attaching members. The connecting posts further have a connecting slot for securing panel elements thereto. The improvement resides in that the connecting slot has an extension protective flange at least on an outer side portion of the connecting post to overlap and conceal an attachment member of a connector strip removably secured in the connecting slot.

Abstract: A door lock structure for securement in a longitudinal cavity disposed in a door vertical free edge portion or folding door edge post, or the like. The door lock structure comprises an elongated locking rod supportingly guided in the longitudinal cavity. Each rod has a locking free end extendible above an open end of the bore above a horizontal edge of the door. The rod is normally biased in a retracted position in the cavity, with the rod locking free end disposed inwardly of the horizontal door edge. An external rod displacement element is secured to the rod for displacing the rod and the locking free end outwardly of the horizontal door edge to a locking position. A bolt engaging mechanism is disposed inwardly of the door edge adjacent the rod for engaging the rod when placed in its locking position. A key-operated cam is provided on an inside surface of the door vertical free edge portion for disengaging the rod engaging mechanism from engagement with the rod.

Abstract: There is provided a rolling door construction which includes a plurality of spaced-apart elongated members, each having opposed longitudinal slots, and each slot in section having an enlarged internal portion and a neck portion which is narrower than the internal portion. The construction further includes a plurality of light-transmitting panels of uniform thickness, each panel having opposing side edges and opposing end edges, the two opposing side edges of each panel being received in the slots in two adjacent elongated members. There is also provided a plurality of spacer plate members, each spacer plate member having opposed edge beads received in the internal portions of two slots, the beads being too large to be withdrawn through the neck portions of the slots. The spacer plate members are arranged so that two of them are adjacent the end edges of each panel. Means are provided for restraining movement of the panels and the plate members longitudinally of the elongated members.
