  • Patent number: 7007320
Abstract: A stand-up bedside hoisting apparatus includes a base; three legs fixedly connected an inner ends to the base to stably support the entire hoisting apparatus; a pivoted-arm mechanism including a lower rotary shaft that is rotatable relative to the base within a safe angular range, and an upper suspension arm that can be turned up and down relative to the rotary shaft; and a hanger pivotally connected to a front end of the suspension arm for holding a hoisting carriage to carry and move a patient. The hoisting apparatus may be easily and conveniently erected to stand up at one side of a sickbed without the need of being fixedly mounted to a wall or floor, and could therefore be moved for use at any place as necessary.

  • Patent number: 6899660
Abstract: A walker particularly suitable for rehabilitation of a patient's legs includes a base provided with casters, a pair of handlebars, and a suspension frame for holding a safety belt. A leg separator is height-adjustably connected to the base to locate between and separate apart the patient's two legs, so that a cerebral palsied patient may bear inner sides of two legs against two lateral sides of the leg separator during practicing walking. Direction control members adapted to limit the casters to rotate forward and backward only are provided on the base to effectively enable the cerebral palsied patient to practice walking straightly forward.

  • Patent number: 6619735
Abstract: A power-actuated chair-type elevating apparatus for moving a user to a desired position includes a slidable base having an upright lower tube-extended from a top thereof, a table having a downward extended upper tube axially movably covering the lower tube, an elevating mechanism mounted in the upper and lower tubes to elevate or lower the table relative to the base, and a seat pivotally supported on two bent tubes and three links. The bent tubes are fixedly connected at another end to the upper tube. The three links are coaxially and pivotally connected at a first end to one another, and pivotally connected at a second end to the seat, the base, and the upper tube, respectively. When the table is elevated, the seat is also elevated and forward inclined for the user sit thereon to lean against the table without the risk of falling off the seat.
