Abstract: In a transponder having an electronic memory chip and a magnetic ring antenna is provided that the ring antenna comprises an electrically conductive coil having at least one turn, and a capacitor, wherein the capacitor exhibits, as a dielectric, a thin insulator foil that simultaneously serves as a substrate foil for the coil and/or the chip.
Abstract: In a container (1) for transporting and storing substances that is provided with a transponder for radio frequency identification, it is provided that the container exhibits a substantially cylinder-shaped main section (12) having a curved lateral surface, and that the transponder includes an electronic memory (21) and, as a coupling element, an antenna coil (22), the antenna coil (22) being disposed in or on a wall surface of the container (1) and with its axis parallel to the cylinder axis of the main section (12). According to the present invention, the antenna coil (22) is disposed in the region of the cylinder-shaped main section (12) of the container on the lateral surface of the cylinder and exhibits one or more windings around the cylinder axis.
