Abstract: A contact guard for use with a water faucet housing having a discharge end portion configured to discharge water along a discharge axis. The contact guard includes an inner surface extending about a central axis, with the inner surface defining a central passageway extending between a proximal end portion and a distal end portion along the central axis. A plurality of guard extensions may be arranged in spaced relation to each other. At least one pair of adjacent guard extensions form an auxiliary flow channel in fluid communication with the central passageway. The auxiliary flow channel includes a radial component extending radially outward relative to the central axis and a secondary component angled relative to the radial component. The at last one pair of adjacent guard extensions include at least one portion that overlaps each other along an axis perpendicular to the central axis.
Abstract: A water heater apparatus for aircraft applications has three water heating tubes joined in series interconnection and positioned in side-by-side adjacency, where each of the tubes provides an electrical resistance heater part of a 3 phase electrical power circuit. Each tube also has a thermostat, and an electrical circuit breaker. The thermostats establish an open electrical circuit if water temperature exceeds a temperature set point. The circuit breakers establish an open circuit if electric current flow exceeds an electrical current set point. The apparatus uses a pressure check valve to expel pressure from the water heating tubes when pressure exceeds a water pressure set point. A temperature sensor is positioned for sensing water temperature at a water outlet and an ultrasonic water flow sensing switch identifies water flow in the water heating tubes.
Abstract: A humidifier apparatus has a source of water such as a tank, joined through an inlet valve to a manifold providing water flow from the inlet valve to a vent stack and a mist stack. The stacks extend upwardly from the manifold and are positioned for sharing a common water level. Both stacks are open at their top. An ultrasonic mist generator is positioned below the mist stack and is enabled for generating a mist within the mist stack. The vent stack provides a water sensor enabled for detecting a preferred water level in the vent and mist stacks and for controlling the inlet valve to maintain this preferred water level.
Abstract: A miniature water heater apparatus has three water heating tubes joined in series interconnection and positioned in side-by-side adjacency. The water heating tubes are enclosed within a cylindrical container with opposing closed ends. A top and a bottom cylindrical covers are adapted for mounting over the top and bottom surfaces establishing a top and a bottom utility volumes. The top utility volume encloses an electrical control circuit providing logical control of the apparatus while the bottom utility volume provides access to the electrical resistance heaters and a temperature range switch. A wire access tube communicates between the opposing closed ends of the cylindrical container for providing circuit wire communication between the control circuit and the resistance heaters.
