  • Patent number: 11105049
Abstract: A method for operating a roadbuilding machine and a roadbuilding machine, in which the health risks to the operator during operation are reduced without the paving quality of the roadbuilding material being reduced in the process. This is achieved by way of an undercarriage and/or at least one further component or, respectively, working component of the roadbuilding machine being remotely controlled by an operator, who is located outside the roadbuilding machine, via a transmitting module. In order to operate a roadbuilding machine, an operator is tied to the roadbuilding machine and therefore exposed to harmful fumes. In addition, the flexibility of the operator is reduced as a result.

  • Publication number: 20190169804
Abstract: A method by means of which the paving result of the road covering can be improved. For the production of a road covering, road-building material is supplied by a pivoting conveyor of a feeder to a supply container of a road paver. In the case of a relative movement between the feeder and the road paver, the pivoting conveyor has to be manually readjusted, which can result in irregularities in the road covering. This is achieved in that the container of the at least one construction vehicle is detected by at least one sensor unit of the road-building machine.

  • Publication number: 20190161921
Abstract: A method for operating a self-propelled road construction machine as well as a road construction machine with which an adjustment of the traction of the wheeled undercarriage can be performed in a quick and easy manner by monitoring and actively regulating the traction of the tires in dependence on the operating mode of the road construction machine. Pavers and feeders for the making of road covers have a wheeled undercarriage, especially with pneumatic tires. For a uniform production process of the road cover, adequate traction of the tires is needed. For this, prior to the start of the production process the tire air pressure of the tires is decreased, and it is increased once again for travel on the road, and the manual adjustment of the tire air pressure to the installation conditions and/or to the operating mode of the road construction machine is time consuming and cost intensive.

  • Patent number: 10053824
Abstract: A road building machine wherein the danger of material falling out as the supply container is loaded is avoided. For this it is proposed that the container halves each have at least one shield which can be moved away as the container halves are folded up. Road building machines, more particularly road pavers and feeders are supplied with road building material from trucks, and, in order to receive the road building material the road building machines have supply containers with two movable container halves, and, when the supply container is filled, the invention helps prevents road building material from falling out from the supply container.

  • Publication number: 20160369458
Abstract: A road paver (10) and a loader and a homogenizing mechanism (17) which permit optimum quality of the road building material without the operation of the road paver (10) or of the loader being impaired. Road coverings are customarily produced from materials such as asphalt by means of road pavers (10). In order to ensure optimum durability of the road covering produced, the road building material is homogenized by mixing devices prior to being laid. The continuous mixing of the road building material requires a very large amount of energy and results in severe wear phenomena in the mixing devices.

  • Publication number: 20160186390
Abstract: Feeding appliances have an elongate continuous conveyor (14) which serves as a distributing conveyor. The distributing conveyor is required only in certain usage situations. Said distributing conveyor must thus be detached when not in use. Detachment is also required for the transportation of the feeding appliance by road. In the case of known feeding appliances, the attachment and detachment of the longitudinal conveyor (17), which serves as distributing conveyor, is cumbersome. The invention provides for the longitudinal conveyor (17) to be connected to a running gear (12) of the feeding appliance by being hooked on or hooked in. This can be realized by virtue of the longitudinal conveyor (17) being simply lowered or raised by a suitable lifting means, for example a crane. Time-consuming and difficult alignment work is thus eliminated.

  • Patent number: 8147164
Abstract: A line system (24) for a road miller, which rotates along with the milling roller (11) and which supplies water directly to the nozzles (23) which are arranged on the lateral surface (18) of the milling roller (11), to be arranged in the milling roller (11). Owing to the line system (24), the milling roller (11) no longer needs to be filled with water. The nozzles (23) are instead supplied with water directly from the line system (24) in order to spray the milling region selectively.

  • Publication number: 20110044758
Abstract: In the production of road surfaces of asphalt and concrete (33), it has been necessary hitherto to use different road pavers, which requires additional complexity, in particular when a wearing course (32) of concrete (33) is to be applied to a base (31) of asphalt. The invention provides to produce road surfaces of concrete (33) with a road paver intended for the processing of asphalt in that suspended vibrating bodies (23) are used which are inserted at least partially into the concrete (33) to be compacted. As a result, a road surface of concrete (33) can be produced with a road paver intended for the laying of road surfaces of asphalt. A laying screed (17) of the road paver is preferably guided rigidly, that is to say non-height-adjustably.

  • Patent number: 5165820
Abstract: Compaction plank for a road-finishing machine for incorporating and compacting freshly laid roadmaking material (3), preferably having a variable effective width. To this end, the compaction plank preferably comprises a main plank and laterally extendable adjusting planks. It also has a base plate (2, 18) for flattening the roadmaking material (3) associated with one or more bar-shaped, driven stampers (5, 6). Two stampers (5, 6) are provided, namely a front stamper (5) arranged in front of the base plate (2, 18) in the direction of travel (4) of the road-finishing machine and a rear stamper (6) arranged between the elements of the base plate (2, 18). The stampers (5, 6) are preferably interconnected by a two-armed lever (7), each stamper (5, 6) being connected with one of the two lever arms (7a, 7b), and the lever (7) can be driven so as to oscillate about its bearing point (8).
