Patents Assigned to Dyneon LLC
  • Patent number: 6077609
Abstract: A composite article is provided which includes a blend component having first and second surfaces and a substantially non-fluorinated polymer component adhered to the first surface of the blend component, wherein the substantially non-fluorinated polymer component has an exposed surface. The blend component includes a first hydrogen containing fluoropolymer; and a substantially non-fluorinated polymer having one or more pendant primary or secondary amine groups. Increased adhesion is observed by a peel strength value between the blend component and the substantially non-fluorinated polymer component when compared to a peel strength value between a component consisting of a fluoropolymer and a component consisting of a substantially non-fluorinated polymer having pendant primary or secondary amine groups.

  • Patent number: 5929169
Abstract: This invention provides curable fluoroelastomer compositions comprising: (a) a fluorine-containing polymer or blend of fluorine-containing polymers each comprising interpolymerized units derived from one or more fluorine-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomers; (b) at least one organo-onium compound such as those selected from the group consisting of ammonium, arsonium, phosphonium, stibonium, amino-phosphonium, phosphorane (e.g. triarylphosphorane), iminium, and sulfonium compounds; and (c) one or more aryl, allyl or alkyl carbonate-blocked compounds as crosslinking agents. Methods of curing fluoroelastomer compositions, and articles made therefrom are also described.

  • Patent number: 5891965
Abstract: The present invention provides a process of curing a fluorocarbon elastomeric composition comprising: providing a mixture of a saturated elastomeric gum comprising repeating interpolymerized units derived from vinylidene fluoride and a perfluorinated ether of the formula CF.sub.2 .dbd.CF(CF.sub.2).sub.m --O--R.sub..function. wherein m =1-4, R.sub..function. is a perfluorinated aliphatic group optionally containing O atoms, at least one crosslinking agent, and an acid acceptor; shaping the mixture; and curing the resulting shaped article.
