    Abstract: An EGR apparatus for an IC engine including an EGR duct connecting the exhaust duct of the engine at a point downstream of an aftertreatment device to the intake duct at a point upstream of the supercharging compressor, an EGR cooler and an EGR positive displacement compressor along the EGR duct. The EGR compressor is driven by an electric motor which is controlled by a model-based control module in response to an EGR flow rate request depending on operating parameters of IC engine.
