Abstract: An improved wristwatch assembly is provided. The wristwatch assembly comprises a watchcase and a bangle bracelet. One end of the bracelet is fixed to the case, while the other end "swingably" wraps around the case, creating an integrated design flow. The swingable motion of the case not only is aesthetically pleasing, but enables the watch design to be easily placed on the wrist and conform thereto, as well as to be easily removed from the wrist.
Abstract: An improved extender device for adjusting the length of a watch or bracelet band is provided. The extender element of the invention comprises a body having a width no greater than the distance measured between the sidewalls of the main watch link and shell, a coupling member formed at one end of the body and having a width substantially equal to the width of the shell, and at least one guide element formed at the other end of the body for accommodating a spring-loaded pushpin. The pin is received between the corresponding sidewall openings of the shell as the shell overlies and otherwise receives the body of the extender element.
Abstract: A wrist watch (1) and wrist watch strap combination (2, 3) includes a manually operable securing mechanism for securing the wrist watch to the wrist watch strap to allow easy removal and replacement of the strap. The mechanism may comprise links (4) on the wrist watch and on the strap which may be interlinked with one another.
Abstract: A modular watch box having a base with a watch holder disposed thereon is provided. The base also includes a feature ticket plate that is selectively removable from the base. A price tab ticket is also selectively insertible into a groove formed in the base. The base is releasably coupleable to a back panel by a snap-fit closure, and a front cover frictionally engages the base and back panel to obtain a secure closure. The front cover includes a cut-out portion and the back panel includes a slit in alignment with the groove in the base in order to allow a customized price tab ticket to be inserted into the box even when the box is close. Thus, each customer (retail supplier) of a watch sold in the present box may receive a desired price tab ticket with store information as well as model number and price information provided thereon.
Abstract: A link assembly for a watch or other type of link bracelet is described. The link assembly includes a first link member having a first bore running therethrough and a second link member having a second bore running therethrough axially aligned with the first bore. A longitudinal pin having a non-threaded portion is extended through the first bore and a portion of the second bore for enabling the first link member to pivotally rotate with respect to the second link member. A threaded screw is used to occupy at least some of the remaining portion of the second bore for maintaining the non-threaded pin within the two bores.
