Abstract: A tool and a method are for at least one of gripping, expanding, and penetrating a wall of a bore. The tool has a first tool part and a second tool part arranged axially movable relative to each other. The first tool part has a solid wedge, whereas the second tool part has at least one wedge arm. The first tool part further has at least one influencing portion configured to be radially movable upon contact with the at least one wedge arm of the second tool part. The at least one wedge arm is configured to be moved axially along the solid wedge so as to be forced radially outwards and thus push the at least one influencing portion radially outwards.

Abstract: This invention relates to a sealing apparatus, system and method for use in a well pipe. The apparatus has a mandrel arranged around a center axis through the apparatus, a radially movable gripping device arranged around the mandrel, a radially movable packer element arranged around the mandrel, and an axially movable activation device designed to set up axial forces for activating the apparatus. The apparatus also includes a radially movable centralizer arranged around the mandrel for centring the apparatus. The activation device being operatively connected to the gripping device, the packer element and the centralizer for the respective activation and radial movement of each, via power transmission of axial forces, between retracted, passive positions and expanded, active positions relative to the center axis of the apparatus.

Abstract: This invention relates to a manipulation tool and method for connection and operation of a controllable well device and adapter. The tool includes an elongated housing with first and second end portions, a gripping device in the first end portion provides releasable engagement with the well device controllable by means of the manipulation tool. The gripping device includes means for resisting rotational and axial movement between the housing and the well device. At least one manipulation device is axially displaceable between a first and second position along a longitudinal axis of the housing and rotatable around the longitudinal axis of the housing. A first driving device produces axial displacement of the at least one manipulation device, and a second driving device produces rotation of at least one manipulation device. The first and second driving devices are connected to a control unit for controlling energy to the driving devices.
Abstract: This invention relates to an expansion-control device (2), a piping tool (46), a method and uses for a packer body (52) on a mandrel (50) with a supporting ring (54; 58) arranged adjacent to an end (56; 60) of the packer body (52). The expansion-control device (2) includes a packer-control element (4; 4a; 4b) for positioning adjacent to the supporting ring (54; 58) and for radial movement relative to the mandrel (50); and a power-transmission body (6) connected to the packer-control element (4; 4a; 4b) for the transmission of activating power thereto.
