  • Patent number: 8424160
Abstract: An asymmetrical resistant hinge set includes at least a resistant hinge and an elastic element coaxially positioned. The resistant hinge is hinged on a first pivotal means located on the bottom side of a body. The elastic element provides action forces on the resistant hinge and one-way resistance to generate an asymmetrical hinge effect with a greater resistance in one direction and a smaller resistance in another direction when a support lid is flipped in forward and reverse directions to reduce the resistance of the resistant hinge. As a result, when the support lid is flipped to a selected angle it still can bear the weight of the body of a portable electronic device at the anchored position without drifting.

  • Publication number: 20110260014
Abstract: A protective cover support rack for electronic devices includes at least a protective cover body, a support lid and a hinge assembly. The protective cover body has an inner rim with an annular U-shaped trough formed thereon to hold and encase the body of an electronic device, and a lower half portion to cover the back side of the electronic device. The hinge assembly includes two hinge means each has one end fastened to one lateral side of the protective cover body and another end fastened to the bottom side of the support lid. Thereby the support lid can be adjusted at an angle smaller than 360 degrees to allow users to swivel to the front side as required to protect the screen of the electronic device, or adjust to a standing position to facilitate viewing, or fold it to fully in contact with back side of the protective cover body at a storing position, or swivel to facilitate hand grasping in use, thus provide diversified usages and improve practicality.

  • Patent number: 7591045
Abstract: A buffer apparatus for a ceiling screen includes a case and a lid pivotally coupled with one lateral end of the case for holding a screen. The lateral end has two sides forming a first action side and a second action side that correspond to each other. The first action side has a speed reducing mechanism to reduce the flipping speed of the lid and provide a buffer effect when the lid is driven by a first elastic element and unfolds. The second action side has a second elastic element compressed by the flipping lid at the initial unfolding stage during the buffering process, and expanded at a later unfolding stage of the lid to provide a returning elastic force to move and anchor the lid on a desired position. Thus the impact and vibration resulting from fast flipping of the lid may be prevented.

  • Patent number: 6760569
Abstract: A peripheral equipment for telecommunication is foldable and attachable to a steering wheel of vehicles. More particularly, it is easily mounted onto a steering wheel and extendable for use and foldable for storage. Thus, it will not interfere with the normal operation of a steering wheel and block a driver's visual sight of the gauges on a dashboard of a vehicle. Besides, it permits a driver to extend and fold at random a peripheral equipment for telecommunication, such as automatic fee collecting systems at fee collecting stations, dialing operators of cellular phones, incoming phone indicators and etc. during driving without moving his or her hands off a steering wheel or shifting the driver's view from a moving course. Thereby, drivers can process telecommunication information and drive vehicles safely at the same time. Such a peripheral equipment is made up of an information box and a mount which permit a driver to extend and fold with readiness.
