Patents Assigned to E.M.M. S.R.L.
  • Patent number: 5060488
Abstract: The device comprises a plate placed over the needle beds and provided with two vertical grooves for each work zone. Within the grooves small bars slide vertically because of the action of a rocking lever that acts on the bars through two arms. The rocking lever has a third arm subject to the action of a rack, while a segment is hinged to each small bar and bears, fixed to its lower end, a small rod having a "L" shape, for pressing over the fabric. The rod extends for the whole length of the associated work zone. The grooves determine the contemporary oscillation of the small bars in opposite directions during their vertical movement, to allow the concurrent change of position of the small rods, while a wedge-shaped element, for retaining the fabric, is placed at the beginning and at the end of each work zone.

  • Patent number: 4854134
Abstract: The device comprises drums, which are coaxial and supported by an axle, located below needle beds subjected to a constant torque acting with springs being provided inside the drums as a mechanical connection between them and the axle. Two pressure rollers for each drum are fitted to a number of arms mounted on a bar and holded in contact with the related drum, while electromagnets are provided to rotate one of the rollers by a predetermined amount in order to cause the related drum to be rotated in in synchrony with the formation of a corresponding portion of the last row of the fabric, that runs between the row of drums and related pairs of pressure rollers.

  • Patent number: 4852369
Abstract: The device comprises a box-shaped element, mounted to a carriage of a flat knitting machine, a plate located above the needle bed of the machine being an integral part of this element. The plate features vertical grooves on one of its sides, within which pins are housed so that they are able to slide along their axes, subject to the action of rockers, which are hinged to the plate and operated by a rod with rack section, located above the plate and moved along their axes in order to raise or respectively lower pins, to the lower ends of which stitch retaining-pressing means are fitted.

  • Patent number: 4766742
Abstract: An automatic flat knitting machine needle beds feature equidistantly spaced slots, perpendicular to the direction of travel of a carriage, inside each of which is inserted a needle and a sinker for selecting the latter, the needle featuring a butt that is mounted on it by means of a spring extension bent towards the inside of its related slot, so that the butt of the non-selected needle is not struck by the operational cams of the carriage, whereas the butt of the selected needle is struck by the operational cams of the carriage, due to the fact that the extension is bent towards the outside of the slot as a result of its having been struck by the upper head of the selection sinker.

  • Patent number: 4534186
Abstract: The device comprises an electromagnet to the movable armature of which is integral a metal strap that supports, cantilever fashion, a shank provided with a plate. One part of the edge of the said plate is inserted in a slit machined in one extremity of a rod subjected to elastic means, guided in a way in which it slides, by a plate. The other extremity of the rod carries means for selecting a metal strap. With the electromagnet de-energized, the selection means do not intercept a butt provided on the metal strap but with the electromagnet excited, the selection means intercept the said butt and this cause the said strap to be raised and subsequently sent into operation.
