  • Patent number: 7898989
Abstract: A method of customer identification for personalizable Internet portals is described. The method identifies customers on the basis of the phone number of the calling party, in which the phone number and service request is transmitted from the terminal via the access network to a proxy server, which in turn is responsible for converting the protocol between the access network and Internet, in which depending on the service request, the proxy server inserts a customer ID into the service request and the customer ID is called up by the proxy server from a customer registry based on the MSISDN, so that at the portal the ID can be taken from the service request and the authorization of the customer can be verified through an inquiry sent to the customer registry at which point the service request of the customer is fulfilled.

  • Patent number: 7185069
Abstract: A computer network server using HTTP (Web) server software combined with foreground view composer software, background view composer software, a view tile cache, view tile cache garbage collector software, and image files provides image view data to client workstations using graphical Web browsers to display the view of an image from the server. Problems with specialized client workstation image view software are eliminated by using the Internet and industry standards-based graphical Web browsers for the client software. Network and system performance problems that previously existed when accessing large image files from a network file server are eliminated by tiling the image view so that computation and transmission of the view data can be done in an incremental fashion. The view tiles are cached on the client workstation to further reduce network traffic. View tiles are cached on the server to reduce the amount of view tile computation and to increase responsiveness of the image view server.

  • Publication number: 20060178950
Abstract: An inventive procurement system includes a requisition system for special item purchases that are not found when searching a catalog database. Using the requisition system the buyer is provided with the desired item while the information associated with the requisition is selectively added to a rule-based knowledge base as well as to an item database. In a preferred embodiment a common language generator has been used to normalize free form data using pre-determined rules to place the data into a class/attribute/value relationship. By having the item requisition follow the same relationship, the pre-determined rules may be updated and the free-form data associated with the item properly coded for inclusion into an item database.

  • Patent number: 6987969
Abstract: A Network Address Register (NAR) is a routing device for use in a GSM telephone system. The NAR receives network messages and determines the network address of the appropriate network elements (network items) that is the destination of the message. The NAR allows subscribers and network elements of the GSM telephone system to be assigned independently. Existing methods of assigning subscribers and network elements using fixed association, such as telephone number blocks, are eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6618583
Abstract: A mobile radio networks (2) linked with fixed networks (1a, 1b) in each case at least one charge detection station (7) is switched in, over which the charges in the linked networks (1, 2) are detected, and that each subscriber end apparatus (8, 9 and 10, 11, respectively) communicates with an exchange center (5, 6) over a telecommunication connection (12, 13 and 14, respectively) and that for each connection from a subscriber register, which is emplaced for example in the mobile radio network (2), specific data of the subscriber end apparatus (8, 9 and 10, 11, respectively) are asked, which are included in the charge calculation, in which a connection from the fixed network (1) or the mobile radio network (2) which is not covered by a credit is prevented by the means that the transfer of the data to the charge detection station (7) and the demanding of the subscriber data from the data bank occurs already at the requesting of a connection, and that in the case of a lack of credit the build-up of the requested

  • Patent number: 6044211
Abstract: A computer-aided synthesis and verification tool is provided for modeling a digital device at a behavioral level and for synthesizing to a structural level utilizing user-defined attributes. The behavioral level is represented as a Data Dependency Graph (DDG) having a plurality of operations (shown as nodes) and operands (shown as arcs) which connect the nodes. Each operation or node is represented as a graphical icon, wherein the icon can have user-defined attributes associated with it. The attributes, nodes, and arcs are compiled and reduced to a Register Transfer Level (RTL) simulation model compatible with present VHDL and Verilog formats. Conversion from a behavioral model to an RTL model includes monitoring the internal states at rising clock edges and constructing states, events and event transistions (i.e., control path information) for each data value in the matrix of values within the data path.

  • Patent number: 5862361
Abstract: A custom simulation engine is provided which operates upon a set of statically scheduled events. The simulation engine is automatically created from a functional description of the integrated circuit design. Each element of each partition within the functional description is analyzed and events related to the element are scheduled. The statically scheduled events are used to produce scheduled source code, which is then compiled to produce the simulation engine. VHDL or Verilog descriptions are similarly automatically created from the functional description. Subsequently, the VHDL or Verilog descriptions are synthesized into a netlist describing a final design of an integrated circuit. The entire process is automatic, and so the simulation engine and the netlist are functionally equivalent by construction. No simulation of the VHDL or Verilog descriptions is required as the present simulation engine correctly represents the design. Manual development of a custom simulation engine is eliminated.
