Patent number: 7410576Abstract: A filtration system comprising a floor panel and a plurality of wall panels connected to each other to define a box, at least one filtering wall vertically inclined and supported inward of a corresponding wall panel such as to define a first free space therebetween, a filtering floor horizontally inclined and supported above the floor panel such as to define a second free space therebetween, the filtering floor being connected to the filtering wall to define a filter chamber, a plurality of openings defined in the filtering wall and the filtering floor sized to let a liquid pass through and retain at least one target solid within the filter chamber, an inlet in fluid communication with the filter chamber, and an outlet in fluid communication with the first and second free spaces. A method of filtering at least one target solid from a liquid is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 2006Date of Patent: August 12, 2008Assignee: E.R.I. Patent number: 5901715Abstract: A container for cosmetic products that includes a base, a cover, and a connector to link the base and the cover together. The connector includes at least one elastic strip having a first end coupled to the base and a second end hinged to the inside of the cover in the vicinity of the interface between the base and the cover. The connector is such that when the cover is placed on the base, the connector is not visible on the outside of the container.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1997Date of Patent: May 11, 1999Assignee: S.E.R.I.C.A.--Services Etudes et Realisations Industrielles par Moulage du CantalInventors: Alain Cambon, Pascal Genelot

Patent number: 4378229Abstract: A method is disclosed for treating sewage in which the combustible components of the sewage are separated from the sewage and utilized as a primary fuel. Scum is collected, preferably by skimming, from screened sewage. This scum comprises oils, greases, fats, water and intermixed solid material. The collected scum is then transferred to a separation tank. The scum is maintained within the tank in a quiescent and substantially nonagitated state for at least twelve hours, during which the combustible oils, greases, fats and the like are rendered separable from the other components of the scum. The scum is then conveyed from the tank to a processing unit where the fats, oils, greases and the like are separated from the water and solid material remaining in the scum. The resulting product is a combustible product and can be used as a primary fuel.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1980Date of Patent: March 29, 1983Assignee: E.R.I.Inventor: Charles Leen

Patent number: 4364702Abstract: Apparatus for the head-to-tail stacking of objects or groups of objects, such as folded cardboard packaging boxes, which are substantially identical in terms of their shapes, their dimensions and the orientation with which they are presented to the apparatus. The apparatus includes an aligning and retaining device which is mounted on a shaft extending above and transversely with respect to a conveyor. The aligning and retaining device is arranged to remove and invert a first batch of objects at the same time as abutments position a second batch below the first batch. The first batch are then laid on the second batch to form a stack.Type: GrantFiled: October 6, 1980Date of Patent: December 21, 1982Assignee: Etudes et Realisations Industrilles de Bersac (E.R.I.B.)Inventor: Serge Coussot

Patent number: 4063825Abstract: A pair of pumps which are joined by a flexible connection passing over a rotatable device positioned for rotation in a substantially vertical plane. The rotatable means is driven alternately in clockwise and counterclockwise directions whereby the lifting of one pump occurs as the other pump is lowered.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1975Date of Patent: December 20, 1977Assignee: Centre d'Etudes et de Realisations Industrielles de l'Atlantique C.E.R.I.A.Inventors: Joel Chardonneau, Claude Sable

Patent number: 4019176Abstract: A characteristic message exchange procedure is performed by a set of contler units at separate stations and of functionally identical design. The combination of a controller unit and a utilization unit that characterizes the application of the station constitutes a complete station. Among other things, the controller units provide sequencing of the transmitting privilege among the stations one by one. All message data are classified into four basic message models representing the applications of the stations. The stations are interconnected by a single common transmission channel and the controllers are equipped to be sensitive to only four basic message models. No central control unit is required for monitoring transmissions between stations. All active stations receive all messages essentially simultaneously.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1975Date of Patent: April 19, 1977Assignee: Centre d'Etude et de Realisation en Informatique Appliquee - C.E.R.I.A.Inventors: Jean M. Patent number: 3959967Abstract: A system is provided for maintaining a permanent reciprocatory movement of a mechanical arrangement, particularly a pump unit. A main driving wheel is coupled to the mechanical arrangement and fastened on the shaft of a hydraulic motor which is supplied by a variable delivery pump provided with control means. The control means is coupled to the wheel by a drive mechanism which comprises a rocking lever coupled to the control means and a cam carrier wheel rotationally fixed to the wheel. As the mechanical arrangement moves in one direction, the rotation of the driving wheel causes the cam wheel to change the position of the rocking lever thus permitting the control means to direct the flow of fluid from the variable delivery pump to the hydraulic motor to reverse the direction of travel of the mechanical arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 1975Date of Patent: June 1, 1976Assignee: Centre d'Etudes et de Realisations Industrielles de l'Atlantique C.E.R.I.A.Inventors: Joel Chardonneau, Claude Sable
