    Abstract: A rotary heat driven device comprising a rotor having sections thereof mounted on a common shaft one within and off center of each of the associated axially aligned chambers. One section comprises an engine, the other a compressor and the third a liquid pump. Each section of the rotor has at least one reciprocating vane mounted to extend through and diagonally out of each of the rotor sections with vane member positioned on the ends of each vane for following along the surface of an oblong opening in each of the chambers.

    Abstract: An engine or heat pump for a refrigeration system employing a first elongated expansion-compression device defining a pair of chambers, each having a linearly movable piston therein which are axially interconnected by a hollow cylinder. A second expansion-compression device is mounted within the cylinder. Conduit means are provided, one extending into each end of the first device, through the associated piston and into the cylinder. The first device forces working fluid received through the device to provide fluid under relatively high pressure to the power and work loops of a refrigeration system, while the second device actuated by the first device draws relatively low pressure fluid from the system and returns it under pressure to a source.

    Abstract: An animal restraining device for use on a vehicle cargo bed including a track member and a slider piece fitting within a slot in the track member is disclosed. A leash is connected to the slider member. The track is placed along and within a channel formed in the cargo bed such that an animal leashed to the slider member may roam the cargo bed but is restrained for leaving the cargo bed.

  • Method and apparatus for steering a water ski

    Abstract: A rudder-steerable water ski is provided including a pivotable shoe rotatable by the user to correspondingly move a ski rudder through a transmission mechanism. A V-shaped rudder may be used with at least one blade of the rudder remaining in the water when the ski is angled with respect to the surface of the water. According to the method of the present invention, the conventional water ski may be modified to provide the rudder-steerable capability of the invention.
