Abstract: A hybrid audio and visual imagery entertainment system that combines visual imagery obtained as live visual imagery or prerecorded visual imagery with the transmission of live audio displayed on a display for therapeutic benefit to a user. Each of the visual imagery and audio of the system can be viewed or heard by the user on its own; however, it is designed to be viewed and heard simultaneously but where the audio and visual imagery streams are separate and unsynchronized and displayed on a display for viewing and hearing by a user.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the use of eggshell particles as a polymer thermal stabilizer, preferably as a poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) thermal stabilizer; also to a flexible material comprising a multi-layered PVC-based material, method of obtaining and uses thereof. An aspect of the present disclosure relates to a material comprising a poly(vinyl chloride), PVC, layer comprising eggshell particles, wherein the eggshell particle size is up to 200 ?m, an intermediate layer or a plurality of intermediate layers; a support layer selected from the following list: fabric, knitted fabric, nonwoven, foam, or mixtures thereof; wherein the layers are bounded. Abstract: A conventional liquid crystal lens switches on and off so slowly that a person can perceive the lens's gradual transition from high to low optical power. This makes a conventional liquid crystal lens unsuitable for focusing virtual images quickly in an augmented, mixed, or virtual reality system. Conversely, an inventive fast-switching electroactive lens system can switch so fast (e.g., in 35 milliseconds or less) that a person perceives its optical power to change instantaneously. The system accomplishes this fast switching with using an electroactive wave plate in series with slower liquid-crystal lenses. The wave place can be switched quickly between emitting vertically or horizontally polarized light. Each lens focuses either vertically or horizontally polarized light and transmits orthogonally polarized light. By switching between polarization states, the wave plate effectively turns one lens on and the other lens off much faster than either lens could be switched by itself.

Abstract: In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a contoured class divider for dividing an aircraft cabin arrangement between at least one forward passenger seat and at least one aft passenger seat, includes a panel positioned adjacent to and rearwardly of the at least one forward seat. The panel has a contoured shape for receiving the back of the forward passenger seat in at least one of a reclined position and an upright position. The panel extends substantially from an underside of an overhead bin to a cabin floor. In embodiments, at least a portion of the panel is configured to deform or break during a crash event due to one or more of a head impact by a passenger in the aft passenger seat with the panel and/or inertial forces of the crash event acting on the panel.

Abstract: A tray table for an aircraft and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The tray table comprises a base portion, a first tray table portion, and a second tray table portion. A first flexural hinge pivots the first tray table portion relative to the base portion. A second flexural hinge pivots the second tray table portion relative to the first tray table portion. The first flexural hinge and the second flexural hinge comprise flexural members which are pliable to enable the respective flexural hinge to pivot. The base portion, the first surface portion, the first flexural hinge, the second surface portion, and the second flexural hinge are integrally formed to provide a unitary tray table construction.

Abstract: A workpiece support for a thermal processing system is provided. The workpiece support includes a rotor configured to support a workpiece. The workpiece support further includes a gas supply. The gas supply can include a plurality of bearing pads. Each of the bearing pads can be positioned closer to a periphery of the rotor than a center of the rotor. Each of the bearing define one or more passages configured to direct gas onto the rotor to control a position of the rotor along a first axis and a second axis that is substantially perpendicular to the first axis. Furthermore, one or more of the bearing pads define at least one additional passage configured to direct gas onto the rotor to control rotation of the rotor about the first axis.

Abstract: A row of passenger seats convertible to a bed. The row includes a frame assembly supporting a plurality of laterally adjacent passenger seats. In embodiments, each seat includes a backrest having a first portion and a second portion movable relative to the first portion, a seat pan movable between a first position for seating and a second position for sleeping, and at least one link connecting the second portion of the backrest to the seat pan such that the second portion of the backrest tracks with the seat pan. In use, the second portion of the backrest resides in a plane of the backrest when the seat pan is in the first position, and resides in a plane of the seat pan when the seat pan is in the second position. In embodiments, the row provides a provision for sleeping in an economy class cabin of an airliner when occupancy permits seat row conversion.

Abstract: Disclosed is a storage cabinet. An embodiment has one or more shelves, one or more doors for enclosing the cabinet, and an electromagnetic lock for locking the door or doors. The shelves have one or more cameras, an opened- or closed-door state sensor, and a weight sensor arranged to measure weight of products placed on said shelves. An electronic data processor carries out a machine learning computer vision method for processing data received from cameras and sensors to identify products removed from said shelves. The processor detects when a cabinet door is in an open state, acquires image and weight data from the associated camera and weight sensor. When a weight change at a shelf is detected, processing of image data acquired including when the weight change occurred occurs, with said machine learning computer vision method.

The system uses one or more fans, preferably brushless, intelligently managed by the Central ECU Module, fixed to the chassis or unibody of the vehicle and connected to forced air outlet ducts, so that the air is channeled directly to the wheel hubs of the vehicle's axles. Abstract: The present disclosure provides embodiments of intelligent cabin management systems and methods. In embodiments, a system includes video cameras for capturing live video streams, an enhancement module for enhancing the live video stream, at least one analytics module for analyzing the enhanced video stream to generate analytics data, and a reporting system for reporting the generated data to at least one of avionics system, crew system and maintenance crew system. The at least one analytics module includes models trained to identify features and reconcile the same against known parameters to determine at least one of compliance and damage. In use, the system alerts crews to issues requiring correction or attention to ensure efficient cabin management.

Abstract: A pressure control system is provided. The pressure control system includes a member at least partially positioned within a pumping port fluidly coupled between a multi-head processing chamber and a pump configured to evacuate gases from the multi-head processing chamber. The member is rotatable relative to the pumping port. The pressure control system includes a plurality of pressure sensors. Each of the pressure sensors is configured to obtain data indicative of a pressure of a flow of gas entering the multi-head processing chamber at a corresponding head of the multi-head processing chamber. The pressure control system includes an actuator configured to rotate the member to control a pressure of a flow of gas at a first processing head of the multi-head processing chamber.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for coating the bottom of a steel pan comprising the steps of positioning a mold on the bottom of the steel pan; securing the mold by means of a clamping mechanism; applying refractory material to the bottom of the pan and below the mold; applying a load to the mold; and removing the mold from the refractory material. The present invention is advantageous because it enables an increase in the metallic yield of pans and the reduction of non-metallic inclusions, which are normally dragged by the vortex formed.
