  • Patent number: 6347934
Abstract: A system for providing a desired quantity of a mold material into a mold. The system includes an accumulation system and a metering and delivery system. The accumulation system is a temporary reservoir which accepts and stores mold material and then provides the mold material to the metering and deliver system under pressure on demand The accumulation system is exemplified by a cylinder and a pneumatically actuated piston within the cylinder which is capable of selectively withdrawing and advancing so as to accept and then supply mold material under pressure. The metering and delivery system is exemplified by a metering cylinder and a pneumatically actuated metering piston within the cylinder that has a stroke length that defines a volume that substantially corresponds to the volume of mold material that is delivered to the mold. Adjustments to the stroke length of the metering piston may be made in order to fine tune the quantity of mold material that is placed into the mold.

  • Patent number: 6347305
Abstract: A method for selecting and processing payroll deduction as a payment option for articles purchased during electronic commerce. An employer authorizes selected vendors involved in electronic commerce to accept payroll deduction as a payment option for the employer's employees. The employer and vendor establish guidelines for utilizing the payroll deduction option during electronic commerce and the vendor stores the guidelines and identifying information for the employer and corresponding employees in a database in the vendor's computer. Thereafter, when an employee selects articles from the vendor's web site, the employee may select payroll deduction as the payment option. The vendor places the employee's selections and payment option in a file and forwards them to the employer. The employer may approve or reject the employee's selection and the vendor processes the order according to the employer's instructions. Then the vendor informs the employee about the status of the order.

  • Publication number: 20020013734
Abstract: A computer implemented on-line system service manages an exchange between consumers and vendors located throughout different geographic locations. The on-line system service is particularly useful for a restaurant delivery and take-out environment. The on-line system service manages the exchange with databases that track menus from a variety of restaurants located in different geographic locations and profiles from a variety of consumers located in different geographic locations as well. Each menu is stored in a restaurant record that denotes the restaurant's city and neighborhood. The system is capable of searching on a plurality of keys in the menu records, to identify a menu record suitable for a particular consumer. The on-line service then facilitates the creation and editing of the new and existing menu records for the restauranteurs that include several categories such as menu item, item description, and price.
