  • Patent number: 9951346
Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for the targeted integration of a polynucleotide sequence of interest into the genome of a plant or plant cell. The methods and compositions employ recognition sites for endonucleases and endonucleases in combination with site-specific recombination sites/recombinases to provide an effective system for establishing target sites within the genome of a plant, plant cell or seed. Once such target sites are established, a variety of methods can be employed to further modify the target sites such that they contain a variety of polynucleotides of interest.

  • Patent number: 9945770
Abstract: A flow cytometer including a laser, indexing structure, adjustment structure, and sensor structure. The cytometer is conventionally used with a removable microfluidic cassette, which is installed at a first position that is enforced by the indexing structure. The adjustment structure changes a relative position between an interrogation aperture of the cassette and the laser beam. Feedback from the sensor structure is used to optimize propagation of the laser through the interrogation aperture to reduce (and hopefully eliminate) autofluorescence caused by beam impingement onto the cassette.

  • Patent number: 9944297
Abstract: A system (1) and method estimates the driving style of a vehicle. The system includes; a device for measuring the longitudinal acceleration (ax) and lateral acceleration (ay) of a vehicle along a measuring path; a memory module (7) in which pairs of the admissible limit values of the longitudinal and lateral accelerations are stored. Such values implement an admissible acceleration curve, closed in a longitudinal acceleration-lateral acceleration plane; an elaboration module (6) configured for: associating to each measured longitudinal acceleration-lateral acceleration pair of the vehicle a corresponding longitudinal acceleration-lateral acceleration pair on said admissible acceleration curve; and providing an indication of the driving style on the basis of the trend of position of the measured longitudinal acceleration-lateral acceleration pair with respect to the corresponding longitudinal acceleration-lateral acceleration pair on the admissible acceleration curve along the measuring path.
