Abstract: Heat resistant ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer compositions comprising a blend of ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, peroxide curable polyacrylate elastomer, and polyamide are described. When crosslinked with a peroxide curative, the ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer compositions exhibit enhanced resistance to heat aging compared to conventional ethylene vinyl acetate elastomer compositions.

Abstract: A circuit is provided for detecting peaks of a sinusoidal input signal includes circuitry for generating first and second sinusoidal output signals that are out of phase with one another and with the sinusoidal input signal. A comparator block compares the sinusoidal output signals to determine instances where the amplitudes of the first and second sinusoidal output signals cross over each other. Abstract: The invention is directed to a paste composition and a process for forming a solderable polyimide-based polymer thick film conductor. The paste composition comprising an electrically conductive metal, a polyimide, an organosilicon compound and an organic solvent and can be cured by heating at a temperature of 320 to 380° C. The invention also provides an electrical device containing a solderable polyimide-based polymer thick film conductor formed using the paste composition.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of receiving digital data transmitted on a coded serial digital transmission modulated on a noisy channel with non-stationary equalization attenuation. Digital data are stored associating a value of quality of transmission with the information elements received, and a mutual information value Ik is computed for each value of the quality of transmission. The value of quality of transmission consists of an equivalent signal/noise plus interference ratio calculated as a function of the method of equalization on the basis of various signal/channel noise ratio values measured for the various temporal symbols of information elements received of the signal received corresponding to one and the same information element and according to interference due to the waveform.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat recovery system, of a part of the energy spent in the preparation of waste water, e.g. water from baths or kitchens, energy that is usually lost when the water is drained into the sewer. This energy can be recovered and reused to heat water that is readily used, for example in the shower, or can be stored in a water heater. This system is designed in such a way that, together with any tub or shower base, constitutes a heat recovery shower base or a heat recovery bath, for example. The energy recovery system is composed, preferably, by a coil generally made of copper inside a PVC pipe that has at one end a throttle plate also made of PVC, a filter for the protection of the system against impurities, turbulence fins, and an external casing. The system has a compact structure which benefits its rapid adaptation.

Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, a telescoping panel door for an aircraft compartment includes a first panel configured for hinged connection to a surface of a door frame, a second panel, and a linkage fixing a distance that the second panel can extend from the door frame, where the second panel is configured for connection to the door frame via the linkage.
