Abstract: A system for facilitating the information transfer and processing associated with home construction and home sales. Various discrete software modules are disclosed each handling a specific task associated with home construction and sales. Also, a system for communicating between separate data bases is disclosed wherein separate and distinct sales offices, each having their own data base, may communicate with a parent, market office having its own data base wherein the data bases of the sales offices and the market office are synchronized according to the method of the present invention so that any data updates in any of the sales offices would be automatically updated in the associated market offices. This aspect of the present invention allows a corporation responsible for home construction and sales amongst various regional, market, and sales offices to coordinate a plurality of discretely separate data bases in a way such that they are all synchronized with one another at a predetermined time.

Abstract: The promoter region associated with the Yarrowia lipolytica ammonium transporter (yat1) gene has been found to be particularly effective for the expression of heterologous genes in oleaginous yeast. The promoter regions of the instant invention have been shown to be advantageously inducible under oleaginous conditions (i.e., nitrogen limitation) and are useful to drive expression of genes involved in the production of ?-3 and ?-6 fatty acids.

Abstract: An electronic device includes at least one gamma correction unit including a first gamma correction unit. In one embodiment, the first gamma correction unit includes at least one tap that is configured to allow the gamma function for the first gamma correction unit to be changed after the electronic device has been fabricated. In another embodiment, a process for using the electronic device operating the array during a first time period using a first gamma function for the first gamma correction unit. The process also includes changing the first gamma function to a second gamma function. The process further includes operating the array during a second time period using the second gamma function for the first gamma correction unit. A data processing system readable medium has code that includes instructions for carrying out the process.
Abstract: The electrophoretic device of the present invention obtains a plurality of different optical characteristics by changing a proportion of number of pixel electrodes supplied with a first voltage and a number of pixel electrodes supplied with a second voltage. The transition of the optical characteristics accompanied by the changes of the proportion is previously obtained as an actual measurement value. The preferable proportion displaying the desired optical characteristic is calculated based on the actual measurement value.

Abstract: A two-element f-? lens used for a micro-electro mechanical system (MEMS) laser scanning unit includes a first lens and a second lens, the first lens is a positive power meniscus lens of which concave surface is disposed on a side of a MEMS mirror, the second lens is a negative power meniscus lens of which convex surface is disposed on the side of the MEMS mirror, at least one optical surface is an Aspherical surface in both main scanning direction and sub scanning direction, and satisfies special optical conditions. The two-element f-? lens corrects the nonlinear relationship between scanned angle and time into the linear relationship between the image spot distances and time. Meanwhile, the two-element f-? lens focuses the scan light to the target in the main scanning and sun scanning directions, such that the purpose of the scanning linearity effect and the high resolution scanning can be achieved.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for forming a printing form from a photosensitive element to form a relief pattern. The method and apparatus thermally develop the photosensitive element by heating a composition layer of the element to cause a portion of the layer to liquefy and providing a development medium to the element to remove the liquefied composition. A conformable layer is disposed between the photosensitive element and a base support, which improves the compressibility and the contact between the photosensitive element and the development medium. The method and apparatus improve the efficiency of the removal of liquefied portions from the photosensitive element and the uniformity of the relief pattern formed.
