  • Patent number: 7312933
Abstract: A rectangular monobloc optical lens and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed. A monobloc optical lens includes a rectangular surround and a central mirror-surface area. The rectangular surround is mounted inside a clipping part of a lens holder. The central mirror-surface area consists of a convex aspherical surface and a concave aspherical surface while the convex aspherical surface faces an image side and the concave aspherical surface faces an object side. The manufacturing method includes the steps of: cutting a sheet made from glass material into a plurality of rectangular sheet units; then setting the rectangular sheet unit into a mold for lens for hot pressing. Thereby, the manufacturing process is simplified and the cost is reduced. Moreover, the lens has high resolution and the volume of the lens is effectively reduced so as to increase the applications of the lens.

  • Patent number: 7311049
Abstract: The present invention regards a conveyor/cooler for hot loose materials produced by boilers and various industrial processes, mainly comprising a sealed metal container (1) connected to a boiler (2) or to an incinerator from which, thanks to the gravitational effect, the material (3) that leaves the combustion chamber falls. Inside of said container (1) a metal conveyor belt (4) is placed whereon the hot loose material (3) to be cooled is placed. The cooling of the material (3) occurs through the feeding of an air flow picked up from the outside environment integrated with atomized water sprinkled on the hot material (3) through a system of injecting nozzles (5) installed inside of the metal container (1).

  • Publication number: 20070285385
Abstract: A system for centrally controlling and messaging electrically active displays distributed at a single site or at multiple sites. A process for creating an electronically addressable display includes multiple printing operations, similar to a multi-color process in conventional screen printing. In some of the process steps, electrically non-active inks are printed onto areas of the receiving substrate, and in other steps, electrically active inks are printed onto different areas of the substrate. The printed display can be used in a variety of applications. This display can be used as an indicator by changing state of the display after a certain time has elapsed, or when a certain pressure, thermal, radiative, moisture, acoustic, inclination, pH, or other threshold is passed. In one embodiment, the display is incorporated into a battery indicator. A sticker display is described. The sticker is adhesive backed and may then be applied to a surface to create a functional information display unit.

  • Patent number: 7304439
Abstract: In order to achieving wide dimming range for compact and tubular fluorescent lamps, two novel control approaches are proposed. (i) Novel techniques for suppressing oscillatory effects in the Triac circuit so as to maintain stable Triac operation over a wide firing angle range and (ii) a hybrid dimming control technique in the ballast inverter circuit for achieving wide dimming range from 100% to about 3%. Concerning point (i) both dissipative and non-dissipative energy absorption schemes (EAS) are proposed to suppress the transient effects in the Triac circuit when the Triac is turned on. The essence of the EAS is to ensure that the Triac circuit can be operated in a stable manner without oscillations or inadvertent turn-off. With respect to pint (ii) a hybrid dimming method is proposed in which unlike traditional control methods that use inverter frequency control only for dimming purposes, both dc link voltage and inverter frequency are varied.
