  • Patent number: 5984782
Abstract: A slot machine has a first reel group and a second reel group. The second reel group is constituted of auxiliary reels, on a peripheral surface of which re-rotation symbols are arranged. The auxiliary reels are respectively provided so as to correspond to each reel constituting the first reel group. After all the reels of the first reel group have stopped, any of the reels thereof is re-rotated and stopped if the corresponding auxiliary reel stops the re-rotation symbol at a predetermined position. Thus, a symbol combination displayed by the first reel group is changed in accordance with the auxiliary reel. It is preferable that the re-rotation symbol represents a rotational direction and a rotational amount of the re-rotated reel of the first reel group.

  • Patent number: 5863249
Abstract: Eight character symbols, all of equal pitch, and two blank symbols are arranged on a reel in a rotational direction thereof. As to each of the eight character symbols, one stop position is set so as to stop the center of the character symbol at a winning line. As to each of the two blank symbols, three stop positions are set. One of the three stop positions is selected on the basis of a random number and the blank symbol is stopped at the selected stop position. Accordingly, although the number of equally spaced symbols is ten, fourteen stop positions are obtained. The reel is rotated by a step motor. The stop position is determined according to the number of drive pulses supplied to the step motor.

  • Patent number: 5622366
Abstract: A cylindrical medal pusher is eccentrically mounted on a rotary shaft. As the rotary shaft drives the medal pusher to eccentrically rotate it, a portion of the circumferential surface of the medal pusher remotest from the rotary shaft sequentially passes through play areas and pushes a medal on a play field toward the final edge of the play field so that the medal is moved to the area outside of a locus of the remotest portion. A medal thrown by player is pushed by the medal pusher to drop another medal placed on the play field from the final edge of the play field. The dropped medal is counted when it enters a drop hopper which pays out the same number of medals as the counted medals to the player. The partition plate protrudes above the play field and the front end facing the rotary shaft is always near at the circumferential surface of the medal pusher so that a medal is not permitted to transfer between different play areas.
