    Abstract: In an embodiment, a pair of sliding components that slide relative to each other is included. One of the sliding components is a stationary-side seal ring 2, and the other sliding component is a rotating-side seal ring 3. The seal rings 2 and 3 have sliding faces S2 and S3 extending radially, respectively, for sealing sealed fluid against leakage. The sliding faces S2 and S3 are provided with a static pressure groove 22 communicating with a sealing gas supply passage, and pumping grooves 5 capable of controlling the radial flow of sealing gas to a flow from the low-pressure fluid side to the high-pressure fluid side by relative sliding of the sliding faces. By controlling the radial flow of sealing gas at the sliding face, the amount of flow of the sealing gas flowing to the low-pressure fluid side is reduced to improve sealing performance.

The rotating-side seal ring (21) is axially movably fitted by a bellows (25) fitted on the rotating shaft (2). The rotating shaft (2) has an outer peripheral surface (2a) contacting and sliding on the radial sliding surface (20a) of the stationary-side seal ring (20) to be supported radially. Thrust rings (10a) and (10b) are provided between the stationary-side seal ring (20) and the rotating shaft (2), for supporting the rotating shaft (2) in thrust directions. The mechanical seal can eliminate the need for an additional bearing and provide stable performance as a bearing.

The seal retention portion is constructed by a leaf spring which is elastically deformable in a part thereof, and is structured by integrally forming a fixed portion fixed to the bellows connection portion, and a retention portion retaining the seal. Accordingly, the accumulator can reduce the number of parts of a pressure fluctuation absorbing mechanism, can be easily assembled, and can reduce a parts cost.
