Abstract: A web browser for Internet access distinguishes between client users and supervisory users. Supervisory users are authorized to create or modify local content access settings to Internet resources that are stored in data structures. Client users are prevented from accessing these local content access settings. When a client user logs on, the local content access settings are retrieved from a local data structure and additional content access control information is retrieved from a remote data structure. Modules coordinate local and remote content access settings to regulate client access to Internet resources. Client access is readily modified through the setting of local content access settings by a local supervisor and by the selection of the remote site(s) contacted for additional content access control information. An interactive agent assists client users during Internet access.

Abstract: A data formatting method for embedding diverse data types in an electronic mail message includes the step of forming a network compliant electronic mail message header. Command blocks representing diverse data types are also generated. The command blocks representing the diverse data types are combined with a network compliant electronic mail message header into an electronic mail message. The electronic mail message is constructed to conform to network standards such that the command blocks representing the diverse data types are processed as textual information.
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically activating wireless services on a wireless device are provided. The systems and methods of the present invention comprise a software and hardware infrastructure that enables a wireless service provider to automatically register a wireless device on a wireless network and a wireless device user to automatically activate wireless services on the wireless device. The wireless services may be part of a wireless service plan provided by the wireless service provider to the wireless device user on a per fee basis.
Abstract: A client software component for a personal computer (PC) interacts with a server of an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to require messages, such as advertisements, to be displayed in a particular manner on a display screen of the PC for interaction with a user and reporting user activity. As long as a valid communication connection between the PC and the ISP exists, the PC is forced to display a particular message in a particular fashion. A user will not be allowed to minimize the message, close the message, or hide the message behind other windows on the PC display screen. The messages will also be interactive so that users are able to get more information related to a particular message, such as by automatically browsing to an associated location on the World Wide Web of the Internet. Information related to interaction with the user is also tracked and communicated back to the ISP for storage and reporting.
