Patent number: 12132373Abstract: An EC motor with an encapsulated electronic controller. The electronic controller is encapsulated by creating a silicone mold to include sufficiently detailed voids so that certain parts of the electronic controller adjacent the voids are encapsulated and other parts adjacent where the mold has no voids are left unencapsulated.Type: GrantFiled: November 9, 2022Date of Patent: October 29, 2024Assignee: East West Manufacturing, LLCInventor: Stephen Andrew Semidey

Patent number: 11942843Abstract: An EC motor with a rotor. The rotor has a hub with outwardly extending silicon steel laminates with gaps between. Rectangular neodymium permanent magnets are positioned in the gaps. Wedge-shaped ferrite permanent magnets are positioned radially between the silicon steel laminates and the hub of the rotor.Type: GrantFiled: January 9, 2023Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: East West Manufacturing, LLCInventor: Stephen Andrew Semidey

Patent number: 11653460Abstract: A hinge assembly for pivotally joining the opposing halves of a carryable case, especially a case for housing an electronic apparatus. The disclosed hinge is adapted to convey electrical conductors from one half of the case to the other, while protecting them from damage by excessive flexing, abrasion, moisture, and debris.Type: GrantFiled: April 23, 2020Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: East West Manufacturing, LLCInventor: Benjamin W. Patent number: 11581798Abstract: A method is provided for limiting double-frequency internal power distortion in a power system. The method includes receiving an input voltage from a voltage source at a power converter from which an output power is provided to an electrical load, measuring the output power having a waveform with a steady-state component and a double-frequency transient component, executing computer-readable program code, via processing circuitry, to determine a compensating waveform equal in amplitude to the double-frequency transient component, and that is anti-phase to the double-frequency transient component, and causing the power converter to generate the compensating waveform such that the waveform and the compensating waveform superpose, and the double-frequency transient component of the waveform and the compensating waveform destructively interfere, leaving the steady-state component that is delivered to the electrical load.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2021Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: East West Manufacturing, LLCInventor: Belvin Freeman

Patent number: 11552520Abstract: An EC motor with a stator and a rotor mounted to a shaft. The motor has a cooling system, an over molded stator housing, and an optimized rotor. The stator has teeth with wound electromagnetic coils. The teeth and coils are distributed circumferentially with gaps between adjacent coils. The stator is over molded with plastic that forms axially oriented cooling passages between adjacent coil sections. An impeller fan then draws air into the motor through air inlets connected to air passages. The impeller fan directs the air through the axially oriented cooling passages in the stator and out air outlets. An optimized internal rotor has permanent magnets and silicon steel laminates spaced circumferentially and extending outwardly from a central hub. Rectangular shaped magnets are interposed in the gaps between the laminates. Wedge-shaped magnets are aligned radially with the laminates and between the laminates and the hub.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2021Date of Patent: January 10, 2023Assignee: East West Manufacturing, LLCInventor: Stephen Andrew Semidey

Patent number: 8141584Abstract: A water collection, storage, and distribution system includes one or more individual water storage tanks. Each water storage tank has its own microprocessor that controls the operation of the storage tank so that each storage tank can operate either as a stand-alone storage tank or can be integrated into a series or a daisy chain of storage tanks. Each individual storage tank monitors its water level, its temperature, and its flow rate. When a risk of freezing exists, based on time and temperature, the storage tank can dump water. When the water in the storage tank is approaching stagnation, based on flow rate and time, the storage tank can dump water. When a storage tank is part of a daisy chain of storage tanks, each individual tank monitors not only its own water level but also the water level of the next downstream storage tank and pumps water to the downstream storage tank as required.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 2009Date of Patent: March 27, 2012Assignee: East West Manufacturing LLCInventors: Scott Ellyson, Jeff Sweeney
