Patent number: 11879291Abstract: A shutter is provided. First and second side rails have cavities running in a direction from top to bottom, each cavity having an opening along a lateral side. A plurality of pairs of slat supports are present, each pair having a slat support mounted in the cavity of the first rail and mounted in the cavity of the second rail. Each slat support has a first section and a second section. The first section has a shape to slide into one of the cavities, and to stack and nest with an adjacent first section of another slat support in the one of the cavities. The second section protrudes through the opening of the one of the cavities. A plurality of slats are present, each slat being mounted on the second sections of one of the pairs of slat supports.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 2021Date of Patent: January 23, 2024Assignee: Eastern Metal Supply, Inc.Inventors: Raffaele Barioli, Brian Peterson, Chris Miller

Publication number: 20220025699Abstract: A torsion spring adjuster for a rolling shutter is provided. A support plate has a first flange with a hole. A wheel is rotatably mountable on the support plate. The wheel has: a drive recess shaped to engage an end of a torsion spring; a first set of recesses around a circumference of the wheel, the first set of recesses being a first lateral distance from a first end of the wheel; a second set of recesses around a circumference of the wheel, the second set of recesses being a second lateral distance from the first end of the wheel. When the wheel is mounted on the support plate the first lateral distance aligns the first set of recesses with the hole of the first flange of the support plate, and the second lateral distance aligns the second set of recess past the first flange of the support plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 27, 2020Publication date: January 27, 2022Applicant: EASTERN METAL SUPPLY INC.Inventors: Raffaele BARIOLI, Bill FEELEY, Chris MILLER, Brian PETERSON

Patent number: 8365468Abstract: A metal shutter with improved air and light transmission is provided. The shutter comprises a metal top, a metal bottom, and two metal sides, which can be collectively assembled into a frame. The frame can have a metal support column that can be affixed to the top and bottom. A number of metal slats can be affixed between the sides of the shutter, and can either pass through the center column or can be affixed to the center column. A hinge can be affixed to the top of the frame, and can also be affixed to a structure. The top, bottom, sides, support column, slats, hinge, and a lock all comprise the shutter. The hinge allows the shutter to rotate between a first, substantially vertical, position, and a second, non-vertical position. The lock holds the shutter to a structure when the shutter is in the first position.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2009Date of Patent: February 5, 2013Assignee: Eastern Metal Supply, Inc.Inventor: Greg Weekes

Patent number: 7216884Abstract: The aluminum trailer frame and trailer includes aluminum side rails with bowed forward sections which converge on an aluminum trailer tongue beam. A plurality of aluminum cross members are laterally mounted to opposing side rails. Each cross member has a generally C-shaped cross section with an embedded, generally C-shaped bolt head channel near the mid-section of the C-shaped cross member. The channel has opposing tabs which trap a bolt head and the channel extends the length of the cross members. Two bunk rail beams or other accessory supports or beam supports are mounted on the cross members via bolts having bolt heads that are slidably disposed in the bolt head channels. Accessories are movably mounted on the cross members by bolts in bolt head channels.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2005Date of Patent: May 15, 2007Assignee: Eastern Metal Supply, Inc.Inventor: Gregory L.
