Abstract: A rocker arm assembly includes an outer arm having a first outer side arm and a second outer side arm, each of the first and second outer side arms having a low lift lobe contacting surface, an inner arm having a high lift lobe contacting surface and disposed between the first and second outer side arms, the inner arm having a first end and a second end operably associated with a lash adjuster and defining a latch bore, and a latch assembly arranged at least partially within the latch bore. The latch assembly is movable between a first configuration and a second configuration. In the first configuration, the latch assembly engages the outer arm such that the outer arm rotates with the inner arm, and in the second configuration, the latch assembly disengages the outer arm such that the outer arm rotates independently from the inner arm.
Abstract: A DC arc fault detection module includes an LF current section, an LF voltage section, and an HF current section having a plurality of outputs, each output being associated with a respective one of a plurality of frequency sub-bands. The HF current section is structured to, for each of the frequency sub-bands, (i) detect a rise in energy of the frequency sub-band above a first predetermined threshold level for at least a certain amount of time and (ii) cause the associated output to indicate a rise in energy detection in response to detecting the rise in energy above the associated threshold level for at least the associated certain amount of time. The module includes a processing device structured to determine whether a DC arc fault has occurred based on the outputs from the LF and HF current and LF voltage sections.

Abstract: A bonding clip is provided in combination with a fluid conduit coupling that interconnects fluid conveying members. The bonding clip conducts electrical charge across the coupling to prevent buildup of electrostatic charges in the coupling. In one aspect of the invention, it may be considered a bonding clip. In another aspect, it may be considered the combination including the bonding clip and coupler. The invention also includes a method for dissipating electrostatic charge across a coupling used to interconnect fluid conveying members. In a preferred embodiment of the bonding clip, it includes a continuous flexible wire element mounted exteriorly of the coupling. The bonding clip is formed in a shape to connect the facing flanges of adjacent fluid conveying lines connected by the coupler, and to pass over the coupler with a defined gap separating a bridge portion of the clip from exterior surfaces of the coupler.

Abstract: A valve assembly for a tank of a vehicle and a method of creating a vacuum are disclosed. A valve body defines a cavity and an outlet in fluid communication with the cavity for venting the tank. The assembly includes a seat disposed in the cavity of the valve body. The seat separates the cavity into first and second cavity portions. The seat defines an aperture to provide fluid communication between the first and second cavity portions. The assembly includes a cover device disposed between the seat and the outlet. The cover device defines at least one hole therethrough. The cover device is movable between a rest position engaging the seat to minimize fluid communication between the aperture and the hole and an actuated position spaced from the seat to increase fluid communication between the aperture and the hole when a vacuum is created in the first cavity portion.
Abstract: The present teachings generally include a composite rotor assembly comprising a shaft and a rotor body mounted to the shaft. The rotor body can include a core structure including a cured polymeric material wholly or partly defining plurality of lobes joined by adjacent root portions. The rotor body can also include a support structure continuously extending the length of the core structure to provide additional structural integrity to the rotor body. The support structure can be wholly or partially embedded within the core structure and can also be wrapped around the exterior of the core structure. In one example, the core structure includes an epoxy resin and the support structure includes a carbon fiber material.

Abstract: The disclosure describes a flexible tubular grip for a golf club, particularly a putter, having the tubular portion formed of relatively soft elastomer with a closure or end cap molded therewith or pre-cured and attached over the end of the tubular portion. The end cap has a raised ridge extending about a portion of the end cap periphery and may have a raised discrete central portion, both of which absorb impact when the club is dropped into a golf bag.

Abstract: A lever assembly is for an operating mechanism of an electrical switching apparatus. The electrical switching apparatus includes a number of pairs of separable contacts structured to move from a CLOSED position to a TRIPPED OPEN position in response to a trip condition. The operating mechanism has an enclosure member and a number of biasing elements coupled to the enclosure member. The biasing elements are structured to move the separable contacts from the CLOSED position to the TRIPPED OPEN position. The lever assembly includes a lever member structured to engage the enclosure member, and a component located on the lever member. The component is structured to extend through each of the biasing elements in order to lengthen each of the biasing elements when the separable contacts are in the CLOSED position.

A latch assembly can be arranged at least partially within the latch bore of the inner arm. The latch assembly can include a latch pin having an orientation pin receiving recess, a sleeve engaging the latch pin and having an orientation pin opening, and an orientation pin extending through the orientation pin opening into the orientation pin receiving recess. The orientation pin can have a substantially cylindrical first wall and a substantially cylindrical second wall.
Abstract: A system and method for detecting and localizing excess voltage drop in single or multiple phases of three-phase AC circuits is disclosed. An electrical distribution circuit is provided that includes an input connectable to an AC source, an output connectable to terminals of an electrical machine, the output configured to provide three-phase voltages and currents to the electrical machine, and a diagnostic system configured to detect an excess voltage drop (EVD) in the electrical distribution circuit. The diagnostic system includes a processor that is programmed to receive measurements of the three-phase voltages and currents provided to the electrical machine, compute a negative sequence voltage from the three-phase voltages and currents, determine a localization reference phase angle for each phase based in part on the three-phase voltages and currents, and calculate an EVD in the electrical distribution circuit based on the negative sequence voltage and the localization reference phase angles.

Abstract: A swage visual indicator for a fluid coupling is disclosed and related methods. The swage visual indicator is achieved by a non-destructive visual indication of a swaging process by one or more swage apertures formed through a flange filled with an indicator material. The swage apertures communicate with swaging grooves of the fluid conveying components being joined. As the swaging process is conducted, the swaging grooves are filled with material from one of the fluid conveying components, and the indicator material within the aperture(s) is therefore displaced in a direction toward the exposed exterior surface of the flange. According to a successful swaging process, the indicator material is displaced to a degree such that the indicator material is visible by the unaided eye of an inspector.
