Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for accessing a plurality of inventory item listings accessible over a network, wherein each of the plurality of inventory item listings includes one or more text strings, and creating inventory word vectors for at least some of the text strings of the plurality of inventory item listings. The systems and methods further provide for receiving a user input including an input word, wherein the user input is input by a user to access a primary media content, creating an input word vector for the input word, calculating cosine similarities between the input word vector and the inventory word vectors, and analyzing the calculated cosine similarities to determine one or more keywords from the one or more text strings, wherein the one or more keywords are from the text strings having inventory word vectors with the highest cosine similarities to the input word vector.

Abstract: In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for a computer program product embodied in a computer readable medium that, when executing on one or more computers, helps determine an unknown user's preferences through the use of internet based social interactive graphical representations on a computer facility by performing the steps of (1) ascertaining preferences of a plurality of users who are part of an internet based social interactive construct, wherein the plurality of users become a plurality of known users; (2) determining the internet based social interactive graphical representation for the plurality of known users; and (3) inferring the preferences of an unknown user present in the internet based social interactive graphical representation of the plurality of known users based on the interrelationships between the unknown user and the plurality of known users within the graphical representation.

Abstract: Systems and methods of returning location and/or event results using information social media content are provided. One or more social networking servers are accessed to retrieve social media content. One or more items within the social media content are then identified. These items may then be categorized. Information about the categories of the one or more items are stored in a database storing information about locations or events. A search query for a location or event may be received, and results for the search query may be selected by accessing the database and utilizing the information about locations or events as well as the information about the categories of the one or more items. The results may then be returned to a user device for display.

Abstract: A method for facilitating sales and pricing of independent parties' goods. The method removes price control from buyers and sellers by deriving a sale price from an index price using a method set by either the seller or a third party. The index price is provided by a party other than the buyer or seller. The sale price may be derived at a time of sale or at a time of registering the good for sale. The standard ID code of readily identifiable, fungible, durable goods is used by sellers to identify used goods to the marketeer. The marketeer exploits the nature of such goods by choosing the price of a comparable new good as an index price and deriving a discounted sale price for the used good from the price of a new good having essentially the same value due to its fungible, durable nature. A best price for a good is ensured by using as the index price a lowest price among a group of vendors for a comparable good.

Abstract: A method for using a telephone to list a seller's good for sale on a website including the steps of receiving good-identifying information from a seller via a telephone and presenting the good for sale on a website. The good-identifying information may be received as a series of tones generated by depression of keys of a telephone. The tones may optionally be used to navigate through a voice prompt system or to provide information about the good, such as the good's UPC code, ISBN number and/or characteristics of the good. The seller's provision of a standard identification code allows the marketeer to retrieve information relating to the good from a database and to use such information to present the good for sale. Such information, and/or the characteristics provided by the seller that are specific to the good may optionally be used to set or recommend a price for the good.
