Abstract: Systems and methods for generating feedback for a webpage based on visual interactions on the webpage are provided. In example embodiments, a user interface (UI) displaying the webpage is presented. The system receives an indication of a selection of an edit trigger and configures the webpage to receive feedback (e.g., one or more user inputs applied to webpage) from the user in response. The user inputs are received, whereby each user input is associated with an identifier of the webpage and coordinates of a location within the webpage. The system processes the user inputs including generating a feedback preview that displays each of the user inputs organized based on a corresponding feedback type. The feedback preview is displayed to the user for approval. Approval of at least a portion of the feedback on the feedback preview will cause the approved feedback to be transmitted to a corresponding entity.

Abstract: A system to manage prize accumulation and distribution includes an interface to receive publication data from a publishing user. The publication data is to be published by the computer system. The interface further receives a prize contribution value, at the computer system and from the publishing user, in exchange for the presentation of an opportunity to win a cumulative prize. The opportunity to win the cumulative prize is to be presented by the computer system in conjunction with the publication of the publication data. A publication module is to electronically publish the publication data on behalf of the publishing user, and is to electronically present the opportunity to win the cumulative prize in conjunction with the publication of the publication data. A prize processing module is to calculate a value of the cumulative prize, based on a cumulative contribution of prize contribution values received from a plurality of publishing users.

Abstract: Methods and systems for replenishing a consumable include order satisfaction responsive to an indication of imminent failure or depletion of a consumable based on detected parameters. A sensor reading may indicate that a consumable is performing below a threshold, or has limited remaining capacity. Responsive to a determination that a replacement is necessary, the method may recommend one or more alternatives. The recommendation may be made based on how closely a candidate replacement's performance or other characteristic (e.g. cost, capacity) matches that of a currently-used consumable. The recommendation may be based on one or more attributes of a candidate replacement compared to a currently-used consumable. An order may be automatically placed according to the currently-used consumable or the recommended alternative(s). The order may be delivered with instructions regarding where and when to replace the consumable.

Abstract: A system described herein uses data obtained from a wearable device of a first user to identify a second user and/or to determine that the first user is within a threshold distance of the second user. The system can then access an account of the second user to identify one or more items and retrieve model data for the item(s). The system causes the wearable device of the first user to render, for display in an immersive 3D environment (e.g., an augmented reality environment), an item associated with the account of the second user. The item can be rendered for display at a location on a display that is proximate to the second user (e.g., within a threshold distance of the second user) such that the item graphically corresponds to the second user. The item rendered for display may be an item of interest to the first user.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein that overcome the limitations of conventional techniques by bridging a gap between user interaction with digital content using a computing device and a user's physical environment through use of augmented reality content. In one example, user interaction with augmented reality digital content as part of a live stream of digital images of a user's environment is used to specify a size of an area that is used to filter search results to find a “best fit”. In another example, a geometric shape is used to represent a size and shape of an object included in a digital image (e.g., a two-dimensional digital image). The geometric shape is displayed as augmented reality digital content as part of a live stream of digital images to “assess fit” of the object in the user's physical environment.

Abstract: Systems and methods are presented for identifying individuals through facial recognition, voice recognition, or the like, recalling past recorded conversations with the identified individuals, and recording and inventorying conversations with the individuals with mobile devices. In some embodiments, a method is presented. The method may include identifying, at a device, an individual through facial recognition, voice recognition, or a unique RFID. The method may also include recording a conversation with the identified individual, and recalling past relevant recorded conversations based on the identification of the individual, and transmitting the recording of the conversation to a display system configured to display the recording of the event.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, a system and method for determining an item that has confirmed characteristics are described herein. An image that depicts an object is received from a client device. Structured data that corresponds to characteristics of one or more items are retrieved. A set of characteristics is determined, the set of characteristics being predicted to match with the object. An interface that includes a request for confirmation of the set of characteristics is generated. The interface is displayed on the client device. Confirmation that at least one characteristic from the set of characteristics matches with the object depicted in the image is received from the client device.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method of digital information presentation may include receiving a selection of an item reference from among digital data via a digital user interface. The method may further include receiving a request to search for information relating to the item reference. The method may include sending a request to search for the information relating to the item reference in the digital database. The method may also include receiving the information relating to the item reference. The method may further include presenting the information relating to the item reference via the digital user interface, the digital user interface including a purchase information element. The method may include facilitating a purchase of the item via the digital user interface.

Abstract: Technologies are shown for trust delegation that involve receiving a first request from a subject client and responding by sending a first token having first permissions to the subject client. A second request from a first actor includes the first token and responding involves linking the first actor to the subject client in a trust stack and sending a second token to the first actor with second permissions, the second token being a first complex token that identifies the subject client and the first actor. A third request from a second actor includes the second token and responding to the third request involves linking the second actor to the first actor in the trust stack, and sending a third token to the second actor partner with third permissions, the third token being a second complex token that identifies the first actor and the second actor.

Abstract: Systems and methods to fit an image of an inventory part are described. In one aspect, a method includes receiving images of items over a computer network from a server, capturing a live video image of an object using a camera, playing the live video of the object on an electronic display, and continually refitting an image of a first item from the received images of items to the object as the object changes perspective in the video by applying an affine transformation to the image of the first item.

Abstract: An indication of a touch on a touch-enabled screen of a device is received that indicates a selection of a date facet in a listing of items. The date facet denotes a temporal indicator, other facets denote non-temporal indicators. An indication of a pinch gesture is received. The date facet is scaled to produce a scaled-facet listing. The scaling includes modifying a degree of a characteristic of the date facet in an increasing amount including producing a scaled-out listing implemented as an updated portion of item data having a different temporal indicator than an initial display of the item data by an amount proportional to a magnitude of a pinch gesture characteristic of the pinch gesture. The scaled-facet listing is displayed by exposing an updated set of the item data having the modified degree of the characteristic and replacing previous item data with the scaled-out listing.

Abstract: Technologies are shown for secure management of personal information data involving storing personal information data in a personal information data block and committing the personal information data block to a personal information data blockchain and authorizing access to the personal information data by a platform entity by storing a platform identifier corresponding to the platform entity in authorized access data. An access request is received from the platform entity that includes the platform identifier for the first platform entity. If the platform identifier is verified to be in the authorized access data, the personal information data is obtained from the personal information data blockchain and returned to the platform entity. In some examples, the authorized access data includes permissions that identify portions of the personal information data that the platform entity can access. In other examples, the authorized access data is secured on an authorized access data blockchain.

Abstract: A method for compressing data in a local cache of a web server is described. A local cache compression engine accesses values in the local cache and determines a cardinality of the values of the local cache. The local cache compression engine determines a compression rate of a compression algorithm based on the cardinality of the values of the local cache. The compression algorithm is applied to the cache based on the compression rate to generate a compressed local cache.

Abstract: A database node selects one of a number of database mirror hosts to perform a database read query. In theory, mirror hosts store redundant database entries. In practice, some mirror hosts fail to receive or retain some entries, e.g. if a mirror host was down for maintenance, a mirror host was overburdened, etc. The health of a mirror host, quantified as a health score, represents a likelihood that an insert statement was received and retained. Health scores are generated based on health metrics—data periodically retrieved from mirror hosts used to infer how well the database was operating, e.g. a count of entries that were inserted, a count of errors encountered while the entries were inserted, etc. If the database read query specifies entries inserted during a specific time period, the mirror host may be selected based on the health scores representing that time period.

Abstract: Example embodiments of the present disclosure include a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a computer-implemented method for providing an interactive and social fitting room experience. Consistent with some embodiments, the method may include selecting a target audience to poll for feedback on an image of an individual wearing a garment in a fitting room. The method may further include transmitting the image to a computing device of each member of the target audience, and compiling feedback regarding the image from members of the target audience. The method may further include causing the compiled feedback to be displayed to the individual on an interactive mirror display in the fitting room.

Abstract: A first test case identifier that indicates a first test case is received. The first test case is indicative of testing one or more features of an application associated with the electronic marketplace. The first test case identifier is compared to a plurality of attributes. The plurality of attributes are associated with one or more listings that describe one or more items for sale in an electronic marketplace. Based at least in part on the comparing, it is determined that a first set of attributes, of the plurality of attributes, are test data candidates to be used as input to the first test case. Based at least in part on the determining, the first test case is caused to be run using at least one of the first set of attributes as test data for input.

Abstract: Top attributes of a product are identified from text content of an electronic document and are presented as visual depictions of the attributes. The attributes are identified and ranked based on the text content, such as whether the text content describes the attribute in a positive or negative manner. Top attributes are selected from the ranking and a visual depiction of the top attributes is identified. The visual depiction can be a universally recognized symbol or a custom image designated to an attribute. The visual depiction is superimposed on the text content associated with the attributes when the electronic document is presented at a display. In this way, top attributes for a product can be presented in a manner that condenses the relevant information provided by the electronic document into a format better suited for providing the information on small screens of mobile devices.

Abstract: An application configured to be dynamically and/or incrementally updated to tailor capabilities of the application to areas of interest of a user is disclosed. The application receives one or more task-specific modules for enhancing a task-specific capability of the application. The one or more task-specific modules are identified from among a plurality of task-specific modules, based on user data indicative of interaction of the user with an electronic marketplace. The one or more task-specific modules are used to update a general module configured to implement the task-specific capability of the application to create a customized application. The customized application is used to perform a task-specific operation based on an input provided by the user, and a result of the task-specific operation to be presented to the user.

Abstract: Methods and systems to automatically respond to a request for product information are described. In one embodiment, a data collection module may collect product data over a network, identify that the product data is related to a particular product, and store the product data and an association between the product data and the particular product in a database. An instant messaging engine may receive a request for the product data after the product data is stored in the database and an interpreter module may identify, in response to the request, the request to correspond to the particular product and retrieve the product data based on the association between the particular product and the product data. The instant messaging engine may also transmit, using an instant messaging protocol, a response to the request, the response including the product data.

Abstract: In various example embodiments, systems and methods for building data cubes to be stored in a cube store are presented. In some embodiments, a metadata engine generates the cube metadata. In further embodiments, cube data is generated by a cube build engine based on the cube metadata and source data. The cube build engine performs a multi-stage MapReduce job on the source data to produce a multi-dimensional cube lattice having multiple cuboids. In further embodiments, the cube data is provided to the cube store.
