Abstract: A search result set is communicated to a first user as hypertext descriptions of data items constituting the result search set. A check box is displayed adjacent to each hypertext description which the first user may utilize to select a subset of the search result set. This subset is then communicated to a second user, again as hypertext descriptions of the subset. Check boxes are furthermore displayed to the second user so as to enable the second user to select a further and narrower subset of the search result set. Selected items of a result set of an Internet-based search may in this way conveniently be communicated between first and second users. Each of a number of interfaces provides the hypertext descriptions of the data items of the search result set.

Abstract: A method includes loading a first document from a first document domain. The first document includes a first instruction to dynamically create a second document object and a second instruction to write script loading logic into the second document object. The first document is rendered to create a rendition, the rendering including creating, in a memory, the second document object according to the first instruction; and writing, into the second document object, the script loading logic according to the second instruction. The second document object is asynchronously rendered by executing the script loading logic to send a script loading request to a script serving domain and to receive a script from the script serving domain, the script executable to modify the content of the rendition; and executing the script to modify the content of the rendition.

Abstract: Methods and system for social network analysis are described. In one embodiment, user interaction data of a time period for a plurality of users in a social network may be accessed. Network analysis may be performed on the user interaction data. A necktie-shaped graph may be generated from the user interaction data in accordance with the performing of the network analysis. The necktie-shaped graph may be utilized for analysis of the social network.

Abstract: A notification of a problem associated with an application may be received. A difference may be determined between a problem version of the application and an operational version of the application to identify a change associated with the problem. A person associated with the change may be determined. A task of resolving the problem may be assigned to the person associated with the change. A person may be notified of the problem and of the assigning of the task based on the identified change. A modification may be performed to resolve the problem associated with the change based on the determining of the difference.

Abstract: A method and a system for arranging for micropayment of transaction amounts related to micro-transactions transacted by a user are provided. In example embodiments, the method may include analyzing transaction conditions (e.g., availability of a stored value, a valid bank account, an Automated Clearing House (ACH) funding, a credit card account, or a transaction risk assessment result, associated with the user, and monetary value of the micro-transaction) and selecting a micropayment option for charging the transaction amount from a group of micropayment options, based on the transaction condition. The method may also include automatically applying the selected micropayment option for charging the transaction amount. According to example embodiments, the system may include a transaction analysis module and a payment processor.

Abstract: Methods and system for social network analysis are described. In one embodiment, a strongly connected component value, an in-component value, an out-component value, a disconnected component value, a tendril value, and a tube value of a social network for a time period may be accessed. A social strength of the social network for the time period may be calculated by combining the strongly connected component value, the in-component value, the out-component value, the disconnected component value, the tendril value, and the tube value. The social strength of the social network for the time period may be utilized for analysis of the social network. The strongly connected component value may have a greatest weight and the disconnected component value may have the lowest weight in the combining.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a system is provided for a cashback funding of an account. The system comprises a transaction receiving module to receive a request to process a transaction amount, wherein the transaction amount is funded by a debit card. The system further comprises a transaction authorization module to make a pre-authorization request to the debit card, wherein the pre-authorization request exceeds the transaction amount by a predetermined value and is to receive an approval for the pre-authorization request. The system further comprises a cashback funding module to offer a cashback amount in excess of the transaction amount but less than the predetermined value. In response to an acceptance of the cashback offer by a user, the cashback funding module is to make an authorization request for the total amount, and in response to an approval of the authorization, is to fund the account with the funds in excess of the transaction.

The monitor component may monitor activity pertaining to at least one of a plurality of sale listings on behalf of a user of the system. The ranking component may determine a number of users monitoring the sale listing and to generate a ranking for the sale listing based on the number of users monitoring the sale listing. The system may be a web-based system including at least one web server that provides the plurality of sale listings via the Internet to the plurality of users. Monitoring criteria may be received relating to an extent to which a plurality of sale listings are monitored by a plurality of users, and the system may conduct a search of the plurality of listings utilizing the monitoring criteria.

Abstract: A method and system to determine whether a web page has been cached is provided. An example system comprises a cookie generator, a cookie distributor, and a cookie evaluator. The cookie distributor may be configured to provide the code to a client system, in response to a request for web content from the client system. A value of the code to be updated at the client system in response to the client system initiating a request for the web content. The cookie evaluator may be configured to compare a value of the code to the default value. The cached status detector may be configured to use a result of the comparing to determine a cached status of the web content, the cached status to indicate whether the web content has been cached by the client system.
