Abstract: A drain system includes a drain body attachable to a subfloor and configured for attachment to a pipe member below the subfloor. A seal component is positionable between the drain body and the pipe member and is arranged to form a seal therebetween. The seal component has a body including open upper and lower ends defining an opening therethrough for receiving a portion of the pipe member. An outer surface of the body defines an interface between the seal component and the drain body arranged to permit a first angular movement between the seal component and the drain body. An inner surface defines an interface between the seal component and the pipe member and is arranged to seal and permit a second angular movement between the seal component and the pipe member, wherein the second angular movement is different than the first angular movement.

Abstract: A drain system includes a drain cover positionable over a drain opening in a floor. The drain cover has a sidewall extending about a periphery of the drain cover and a release surface on the sidewall tapering or sloping inwardly toward a bottom of the drain cover. The release surface is arranged to interface with a support frame configured to support and position the drain cover over the drain opening and reduce frictional and shear forces between the drain cover and the support frame during removal of the drain cover from the support frame.

Abstract: A plastic component for use in a tiled wet environment can include a base structure comprising a first polymer material, and an integrated bonding interface formed on the base structure. The integrated bonding interface includes a second polymer material welded to or fused with the first polymer material of the base structure at a boundary area. A plurality of aggregate particles partially embedded in a mortar facing surface of the second polymer material to form a three-dimensional surface adapted for capturing or locking mortar material in one or more spaces on the integrated bonding interface between the aggregate particles.

The drain module has a drain body defining an inlet and installable in the subfloor. The drain body is configured for attachment to a drain pipe below the subfloor. A drain trim assembly defines a linear drain channel sloping along a length of the drain trim assembly that is intercepted by an outlet positionable over the drain body. The drain trim assembly is configured for installation with the tile floor entirely above the subfloor and without physically interfacing with an opening of the drain body.

Abstract: A corner brace configured to support a tile-bearing panel includes a pair of transverse brackets, disposed at a transverse angle to one another and being configured to be disposed in a corner between the tile-bearing panel and another panel or a support surface. At least one of the brackets has at least two ribs, each of which extends from an inner base to an enlarged outer head. The at least two ribs form at least one mortar receiving channel therebetween which has an enlarged chamber and a narrower opening with respect to the enlarged chamber. The mortar receiving channel is configured to at least partially interlock with mortar applied between the panel and the bracket to aid in securing the panel to the corner brace and thus to the other panel or support surface.
