  • Patent number: 11855906
Abstract: Northbound intent-based application insertion may be employed within a mobile communications network established with a software defined network (SDN) including both an applications plane and also a control plane in which different infrastructure resources are accessible through a northbound API. A request from a mobile application first is received in the control plane for the application to be inserted into the application layer utilizing different infrastructure resources of the control plane. The mobile application is then characterized and a set of recommended resources for the characterization retrieved. Finally, those of the resources to be utilized by the mobile application are compared to the set of recommended resources in order to identify a variance of resources and the resources to be utilized by the mobile application, as adjusted by the variance of resources, are then provisioned for use by the mobile application.

  • Publication number: 20220270101
Abstract: An adaptable anti-money laundering (AML) transaction analysis includes classifying different reviewers according to experience recorded in connection with reviewing financial transactions and determining a capacity for different reviewers. A transaction is received and a primary AML test selected for the transaction. The primary AML test is applied to the transaction and, in response to a failure of the primary AML test, a magnitude of failure is computed along with a degree of expertise required to review the transaction based upon the computed magnitude. A triage rule is applied to the computed magnitude and required degree of expertise and the capacity of the reviewers classified with a degree of expertise equal to or greater than the required degree to determine whether or not to subject the transaction to a secondary AML test, or to queue the transaction for review by one of the reviewers having the required degree of expertise.

  • Publication number: 20220232100
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for flexible provisioning of network resources through a network exposure function (NEF) of a software defined network (SDN) architected mobile communications network. In a flexible provisioning method different instances of correspondingly different virtual network functions (VNFs) are instantiated in a control plane of the SDN and selected ones collected in respectively different collections of a collections pool within the control plane of the SDN. Subsequent to the instantiation, a request by a mobile application can be received in the NEF to access functionality of at least one of the VNFs. In response, one of the different collections of the pool may be selected for assignment to the requesting mobile application and the selected one of the collections then may be assigned to the mobile application through the NEF.
