Publication number: 20250071090Abstract: Integrating a software defined perimeter (SDP) for network applications in a 5G/6G telecommunications network includes receiving a registration request from a radio access network (RAN) component of the network into an access and mobility management function (AMF) of the network. The request routes to an SDP controller in the core network component and the SDP controller in turn transmits an authentication request over a virtual private network (VPN) coupling between a main controller and the SDP controller, on behalf of user equipment (UE) and an end user associated with the UE. Finally, responsive to the authentication, the SDP controller generates both an SDP encapsulating a set of network resources of the network supporting microservices accessible by the UE, and a secure tunnel between the UE and a gateway in a data plane of the network that moderates subsequent data flows between the UE and the microservices.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2023Publication date: February 27, 2025Applicant: eBOS TechnologiesInventors: Stelios Christofi, Fanos Christofi, Loizos Christofi

Publication number: 20240406070Abstract: Dynamic re-constitution of a software defined perimeter (SDP) for micro-services network applications in a 5G/6G telecommunications network includes authenticating both a device and also a user of the device seeking access to an initial set of network resources defining an initial SDP and, responsive to the authentication, generating an individual network communications link through a northbound API to one or more micro-services network applications of the initial SDP. Data traffic from the micro-services network applications is monitored over the link and the monitored data traffic is submitted to a predictor predicting a traffic pattern necessitating a change in the initial set of the network resources of the initial SDP. Finally, in response to the prediction of the traffic patterns, a new SDP is defined with a different set of the network resources, the network communications link terminated, and a new communications link established between the authenticated device and the new SDP.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2023Publication date: December 5, 2024Applicant: eBOS TechnologiesInventors: Loizos Christofi, Stelios Christofi, Fanos Christofi

Patent number: 11855906Abstract: Northbound intent-based application insertion may be employed within a mobile communications network established with a software defined network (SDN) including both an applications plane and also a control plane in which different infrastructure resources are accessible through a northbound API. A request from a mobile application first is received in the control plane for the application to be inserted into the application layer utilizing different infrastructure resources of the control plane. The mobile application is then characterized and a set of recommended resources for the characterization retrieved. Finally, those of the resources to be utilized by the mobile application are compared to the set of recommended resources in order to identify a variance of resources and the resources to be utilized by the mobile application, as adjusted by the variance of resources, are then provisioned for use by the mobile application.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2022Date of Patent: December 26, 2023Assignee: eBOS TechnologiesInventors: Loizos Christofi, Stelios Christofi, Fanos Christofi

Publication number: 20220270101Abstract: An adaptable anti-money laundering (AML) transaction analysis includes classifying different reviewers according to experience recorded in connection with reviewing financial transactions and determining a capacity for different reviewers. A transaction is received and a primary AML test selected for the transaction. The primary AML test is applied to the transaction and, in response to a failure of the primary AML test, a magnitude of failure is computed along with a degree of expertise required to review the transaction based upon the computed magnitude. A triage rule is applied to the computed magnitude and required degree of expertise and the capacity of the reviewers classified with a degree of expertise equal to or greater than the required degree to determine whether or not to subject the transaction to a secondary AML test, or to queue the transaction for review by one of the reviewers having the required degree of expertise.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2022Publication date: August 25, 2022Applicant: eBOS TechnologiesInventors: Loizos Christofi, Stelios Christofi, Fanos Christofi

Publication number: 20220232100Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for flexible provisioning of network resources through a network exposure function (NEF) of a software defined network (SDN) architected mobile communications network. In a flexible provisioning method different instances of correspondingly different virtual network functions (VNFs) are instantiated in a control plane of the SDN and selected ones collected in respectively different collections of a collections pool within the control plane of the SDN. Subsequent to the instantiation, a request by a mobile application can be received in the NEF to access functionality of at least one of the VNFs. In response, one of the different collections of the pool may be selected for assignment to the requesting mobile application and the selected one of the collections then may be assigned to the mobile application through the NEF.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2022Publication date: July 21, 2022Applicant: eBOS TechnologiesInventors: Loizos Christofi, Stelios Christofi, Fanos Christofi
