Abstract: The invention relates to a system for electrical and/or magnetic neuronal stimulation, comprising a signal generator for generating a stimulation signal, in particular an alternating-current stimulation signal, an applicator for applying the stimulation signal, in particular in an area on or directly around the optic nerve, a lead for deriving a measurement signal, in particular an EEG signal, a biomarker calculation unit for calculating a biomarker based on the measurement signal, and an optimization unit, in particular for performing a stochastic optimization process, for optimizing the value of the biomarker by varying the stimulation signal.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for neurostimulation, comprising a mask, eyeglasses or similar eye attachment covering the eye region of the subject, which is designed to be optically sealed from the surroundings and has a lighting surface directed to the eye side which is connected to a source emitting light in the visible spectral range or contains such a light source, and having means for fastening to the head of the subject.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for transcranial, non-invasive, electrical deep-brain stimulation, of the kind used in particular in the treatment of neurological and psychiatric disorders and of disturbances of the motor/cognitive functions in the human brain, wherein the device has at least one signal generator for generating an electrical alternating-current signal, an electrode arrangement, which can be placed on the head of a person to be treated and can be connected electrically to the signal generator so as to apply an alternating-current signal, wherein the electrode arrangement can be used to apply at least two alternating-current signals, of which the trajectories cross the region of the brain to be treated, such that their alternating currents are superposed, as a result of which the region of the brain to be treated is stimulated by electrical alternating currents in a targeted manner, whereas adjacent regions of the brain are stimulated only slightly or not at all.
