    Abstract: The connection has two inserted tubes, one of which, the outer tube (6), is enlarged in order to form a casing (8) for housing two support pads (10) which are held tightly between the two tubes and a radial projection (12) of the inner tube. A gasket (14, 15) with a section in the shape of a recumbent V and which has a cylindrical flange for bearing against the inner tube and a convex flange for bearing against the outer tube, is mounted on each of the ends of the casing (8). The two gaskets face in opposite directions and are fitted onto the pads which hold them tightly. The convex flange (18) is preferably spherical only for a part of its length. This spherical part forms the surface for rubbing against the casing and enables a relative displacement of these two members with no risk of the tightness failing.

    Abstract: Process for producing a light steering wheel having a central hub, a peripheral rim and radial arms interconnecting the hub and the rim. The process is carried out by using a mould including a punch and a matrix having an impression in the shape of the steering wheel to be produced. The impression is at least partially filled with blanks of synthetic material charged with long fibers which are uninterrupted in each blank. The steering wheel, in the shape of the impression, is directly produced in one operation by stamping the blanks in the mould with the punch to shape the blanks into the steering wheel. The blanks are placed edgewise in the mould and are unshaped relative to the shape of the produced steering wheel.

The fine adjustment, limited to a value of about 9.degree., is made with the aid of an arrangement including a control mechanism, amplitude limiters, and stops. These stops ensure continuity of transmission of the torque exerted on the steering wheel to the shaft in the event of slackening of the fastener or failure of the amplitude limiters.

The pivoting of the lever in one direction frees the tilting axle and allows the back to be folded down about the axle (8), while in the other direction it lifts the back, disengages the serrations (6) of the slot and makes it possible to change the inclination of the back.
