Abstract: A system may monitor usage of a cleaning chemical and indicate when the chemical has expired and needs to be replaced. In some examples, the system includes a reservoir containing the chemical and a sensor associated with the reservoir that can detect user interaction with the chemical in the reservoir. The system may track an amount of time until the chemical in the reservoir is deemed to have expired and provide a user alert indicating expiration of the chemical. The system can control the amount of time remaining until the chemical is deemed to have expired based on the detected addition of the object to the reservoir.

Abstract: An embedded temperature sensor may be attached to or otherwise associated with a textile in order to measure one or more temperatures of the textile. Temperature information received from one or more embedded temperature sensor(s) throughout the course of a dryer cycle may be analyzed to determine dryness of one or more textiles in a dryer, determine whether one or more textiles in the dryer are overdry, generate an indication of the dryness of the one or more textiles in the dryer, and/or to control one or more dryer cycles of the dryer, such as by automatically turning-off the dryer when one or more of the textiles in the dryer are determined to be dry. The embedded temperature sensor may further be used to validate a cleaning process in a cleaning machine.

Abstract: Membrane filtration systems can be used to purify liquid streams for downstream use. In practice, foulant can build-up on the surface of a membrane within a filtration system over time. The effectiveness of the filtration system will deteriorate if the fouling is not properly controlled. In some examples, a method of controlling membrane fouling in a pressurized membrane system involves supplying a feed stream that is predominately air mixed with water to the membrane. In other words, the feed stream a greater volume of air than water, even though it is the water being processed by the membrane. Supplying the pressurized membrane system with a feed stream that contains a greater volume of air than water can yield significantly better performance than supplying the membrane with a feed stream that contains a greater volume of water than air.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are polymers formed by the condensation of bis(hydroxycarbyl)-aminophenolic compounds with aldehydes. The condensation polymers include one or more repeat units having bis(hydroxycarbyl)amino functionality. The polymers are useful as antifoulants, antipolymerants, rheology modifiers, dehazers, polymerization retardants, surfactants, or a combination of these in one or more industrial process streams.
Abstract: Disclosed are antifouling agents used in compositions and methods to reduce or prevent foulants in synthetic feedstocks derived from plastic. Also disclosed is pyrolysis process equipment treated with an antifouling agent. A method of reducing or preventing fouling in a plastic-derived synthetic feedstock composition may include adding an antifouling agent including a carboxylic acid anhydride or a copolymer of a dicarboxylic acid anhydride and alpha olefin to a synthetic feedstock composition derived from plastic pyrolysis containing a foulant to provide treated pyrolysate.
Abstract: One embodiment includes a method for monitoring a CIP process previously performed. The method includes accessing CIP process data stored in a CIP library. The CIP process data includes CIP phase data associated with a plurality of CIP phases in the CIP process previously performed, equipment data associated with objects used in the CIP process during one or more of the CIP phases, and consumable data associated with consumables consumed by corresponding equipment in the CIP process. In addition, the method includes displaying at least a portion of the CIP process data, and providing a graphical user interface. The graphical user interface is configured to: organize the CIP process data into at least one of (i) a plurality of CIP phases or (ii) consumable data, and sort equipment data according to one or more of the plurality of corresponding CIP phases or corresponding consumables.

Abstract: Personal cleansing compositions are disclosed with a synergistic combination of anionic surfactants in that impart early formation of foam with lasting foam stability. An anionic sulfate surfactant is provided in combination with a bio renewable alkyl sulfoacetate/alkyl ethoxy sulfoacetate surfactant for use as a liquid hand soap, liquid body wash, antimicrobial or sanitizing composition, or shampoo. The surfactant combination is also less irritating to skin. Methods of use and methods of making such compositions are also disclosed.
Abstract: The disclosure relates a surfactant package for use in hard surface cleaning compositions, preferably floor cleaning compositions which pair an anionic linear alkyl sulfonate surfactant and a nonionic surfactant in a ratio of 1:1 to 9:1. This combination provides for synergistic cleaning of both proteinaceous food soils (red soils) and hydrocarbon-based oily soils (black soils) while also reducing foam produced by the composition. Synergistic nonionic surfactants include EO/PO alcohol alkoxylates or EO/PO fatty alcohol surfactants with a propylene oxide to ethylene oxide to ratio of greater than 1.
