Abstract: The invention relates to a method for cleaning up recycled materials that result front the recycling of furniture, the method comprising the following steps: a step of providing recycled materials that result from the recycling of furniture, these materials containing an initial quantity of at least one chemical compound from the following list: VOCs (volatile organic compounds), formaldehyde, dimethylformamide, chlorophenol; a step of grinding the recycled materials; a thermal treatment step, during which the ground recycled materials are brought to a temperature of greater than 150° C., the ground recycled materials having, after the thermal treatment step, a final quantity of said chemical compound which is less than the initial quantity.
