Abstract: The application describes a method for detecting a behavior of interest in a surrounding including at least one telecommunication network, by using approach of Immune Engineering. The method comprises steps of analyzing the behavior of interest by building a characterizing data string called DNA which comprises two or more data sub-strings characterizing fragments of the behavior of interest and called genes. Further, there are selected two or more data fragments called detectors and being substantially close to the genes, and the detectors are applied to identify similar to them data fragments if appearing in information concerning real time activity in the surrounding. Based on the identification results, the method detects whether the behavior of interest is present in the newly incoming information.
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems for detecting a fraud event on a distributed network are disclosed. A fraud event is indicated if data analysis reveals that there is a lack of consistency between elements in the network.
Abstract: A method for detecting an outlier in a communication network, which comprises providing a first plurality of objects associated with a plurality of users, classifying this first plurality of objects in accordance with one or more pre-determined classification parameters. Based on the classifications, associating each of the first plurality of objects with at least one group selected from among a second plurality of groups, so that each group out of the second plurality of groups, comprises objects that have essentially similar classification parameters. Then, associating objects belonging to at least two of the second plurality of groups with one or more pre-determined characterization parameters and identifying outlier objects in the at least two of the second plurality of groups.
Abstract: A method, a system and equipment for determining quality of telecommunication service over a telecommunication network, which provide: (a) obtaining data on quality of service over a number of routes in the network by determining, for each route, N parameters pi, each reflecting either a quality of transmission of a particular service through said route or a statistical characteristics of said route's availability to a subscriber, and (b) building an objective quality score (OQS) for each of the routes, the OQS being a multi-profile quality estimation equation presenting a sum of N said parameters pi taken with respective weight functions Wi(pi) thereof. Based on the score, one or more routes can be selected in the network (for example, for routing), which have the OQS value not lower than a predetermined OQS.
Abstract: A method and a system for building a Combined Call Detail Records data base (Combined CDR) in a management system of a telecommunications network, by collecting one or more call related events (real time Pre-CDRs) from the network with respect to a particular call by probes in real time, obtaining at least one off-line Call Detail Records data base (off-line CDR) from another system not belonging to the management system, and then integrating all the acquired data in a combined Call Detail Records data base (Combined CDR) of the management system, using computer means.
Abstract: A method and a system for building an Integrated Call Detail Records data base in a telecommunications network in real time, by collecting call related events concerning a particular call from two or more data sources by at least one suitable probe, merging the call related events and recording the merged events with respect to each particular call in real time using computerized means associated with the probe(s). The data sources may be mixed, i.e. comprising at least one bearer data source and at least one signaling data source; however, they may be sources of signaling data only. The sources of information may be situated at different interface points of the communication network.
