Abstract: For picking up and depositing a hollow receptacle such as a bin, container or the like by/on a vehicle with a change gear mechanism having a tilting frame pivoted in the back on the undercarriage of the vehicle and movable by a tilting cylinder supported on the undercarriage, and furthermore having a coulisse displaceable on the tilting frame by associated actuating elements and equipped with a stop element capable of being engaged with the associated fitting on the receptacle, the coulisse, for depositing the receptacle, is first retracted until the rear end of the receptacle projects beyond the back of the vehicle by a predetermined measure. Subsequently, the tilting frame is utilized until the lower zone on the rear end of the receptacle rests on the surface of the roadway.
Abstract: Container for the loading of bulk materials, such as construction debris, rubbish, industrial waste and the like which, for purposes of interstackability, displays outwardly slanting sides and glide elements enabling it to slide fully supported along the upper longitudinal edges of the container immediately below it in the stack, which edges function as longitudinal guides. To achieve this additonal interstackability, in particular with filled containers, glide elements, adjustable with respect to position, have been provided on the container. The guide elements are in such a way that when in their end position in the lower section of the container, they are positioned over the respective longitudinal edge of the container located immediately below it in the stack. Each glide element is arranged on a positioning element which is secured in adjustable, movable position on the container by a locking element mounted on the container.
Abstract: This invention relates to a garbage can comprising a barrellike can body, which is substantially rectangular in cross-section and tapers downwardly to its bottom, a cover, which is hinged to the top rear edge of the can body, a receptacle, which is provided adjacent to the front edge of the top opening of the can body and is adapted to receive a grab claw of a lifting and tilting mechanism, and a pair of axially aligned casters, which are eccentrically mounted adjacent to the bottom of the can body. In accordance with the invention, the bottom of the can body is connected by an inclined wall portion of the rear wall of the can body, said inclined wall portion and the bottom of the can body are formed with laterally disposed re-entrant portions, which constitute recesses, and the casters are rotatably mounted on a common axle or on aligned stub axles fitted in holders and are disposed inside the imaginary envelope of the can body which surrounds the inclined wall portion and the recesses.
Abstract: In a system for detecting the position of an object having predetermined design features in a plane relative to a manipulator provided with ultrasonic sensors consisting of ultrasonic transmitters and ultrasonic receivers, the manipulator is provided with at least three ultrasonic sensors, which are spaced apart and directed at an angle to a common reference plane, two of the sensors are directed to an elongate linear design feature of the object, the third sensor is directed to a second linear design feature of the object, the linear features are designed so that sound waves projected by the ultrasonic sensors and incident on the features will be reflected parallel to the direction of incidence, and the two linear design features are parallel to each other in a plane.
