  • Patent number: 5167165
Abstract: A device for positioning a measuring element is provided in which the measuring element is suspended by two parallelogram linkage systems in a pivotable manner, the parallelogram linkage systems being arranged at an angle relative to one another. Each lever of the parallelogram linkage systems is provided with a ball joint and is drivingly connected via the ball joint to a respective threaded spindle. The threaded spindles are drivable by a reversible stationary stepping motor. With this arrangement it is possible for the measuring element to perform planar and circular movements in addition to the commonly performed pivoting movements. Furthermore, an adjustment of the pivoting point is possible, and each individual lever of the parallelogram linkage system may be adjusted individually.

  • Patent number: 5022401
Abstract: An apparatus for positioning a measuring element that is pivotably mounted, via two parallelogram-type linkage systems that are disposed at an angle to one another, in such a way as to be movable in a random fashion. The free ends of the lever arms of the two linkage systems are respectively supported on a common carrier plate via the intervention of a respective pivotably mounted intermediate member.

  • Patent number: 4817621
Abstract: An apparatus for determining the position of an object or measuring point via a measuring element that is embodied as a Doppler signal emitter and receiver. Two parallelogram-type linkage systems, each having two ends, are provided, with one end being pivotably connected to the measurng element, and the other end being pivotably connected to a respective reference element, with the reference elements being disposed at a given angle to one another. The measuring element is pivotably connected in such a way as to be movable in a random fashion about an adjustable point.
