    Abstract: A mechanical aid for lifting handicapped persons, bedridden patients and other individuals of like disposition. The present invention is directed to a lifting device for raising physically incapacitated persons which is operably by a single attendant. To this end, a simple, light weight frame is provided with a slidable, hinged seat which is designed to raise or lower a patient alternatively from lower to higher elevations.
