Patents Assigned to Edwards Industries, Inc.
  • Patent number: 9003712
Abstract: A method of producing a seal comprising forming an elongated strip of a thermoplastic material having laterally spaced, interlockable portions; bending such strip along a longitudinal line disposed between the spaced interlockable portions to position the interlockable portions in opposed relation; and interlocking the interlockable portions together when such portions are disposed in opposed relation to provide a bulb segment and a mount segment.

  • Patent number: 7258504
Abstract: A link for connecting a pair of spaced members having a set of aligned holes, together, generally including a bolt having threaded end portions and a pair of upset portions based inwardly relative to the threaded end portions thereof, a pair of inner grommets each formed of a resilient material, mountable on the bolt and having a portion functional to snap-fit on one of the upset portions of the bolt when such grommet is mounted on the bolt, a pair of outer grommets each formed of a resilient material, mountable on the bolt and cooperable with one of the inner grommets to engage one of the members therebetween and a pair of nuts threadable on the threaded portions of the bolt, engageable with an exterior grommet mounted on the bolt.

  • Patent number: 6298908
Abstract: A heat exchanger assembly suitable for use in a heating, ventilating and air conditioning system of a vehicle comprising a housing, a heat exchanger core disposed in the housing and spaced from the housing to provide a peripheral spacing between the core and the housing and a seal disposed in the peripheral spacing including a first section engaging a portion of the core and having a first hardness and a second section integrally molded with the first section engaging a portion of the housing and having a second hardness less than the first hardness.

  • Patent number: 4819908
Abstract: A quick connect fluid coupling having a female part and a male part which is insertable into the female part to thereby establish the fluid connection between the coupling parts. A metal spring retainer in the female part engages an outwardly extending flange on the male part upon insertion into the female part to lock the coupling parts together. In addition, a shut off valve member is contained within the female part and is movable between a closed position and an open position. In the closed position, a seal ring in the female part sealingly engages a central cylindrical portion of the valve member and blocks fluid flow through the female part. Conversely, upon insertion of the male part into the female part, the male part moves the valve member to its open position and enables fluid flow through the fluid coupling parts. Simultaneously, the seal ring engages the outer periphery of the male part and fluidly seals the male and female parts together.

  • Patent number: 4752717
Abstract: A thick film luminescent device includes a substrate which supports a first and second electrode, the electrodes being separated from each other by an electroluminescent layer. Each of the electrodes has a conductor connected thereto including a terminal portion remotely situated from the electrode. An insulated layer opposite the substrate covers all of the conductors and electrodes except for the terminal portions. A conductive shielding layer is provided which is substantially coextensive with the insulated layer, the shielding layer including a terminal portion adapted to be connected to a suitable ground so as to prevent signal interference between the thick film luminescent device and adjacent electronic circuitry.
