Abstract: Augmented reality (AR) content may be created and stored as an imprint on a virtual model, where the virtual model is modeled after or mimics a real world environment. Intuitive mobile device interfaces may be used to link content with objects or surfaces near a mobile device. Subsequent users may access the same content depending on one or more access parameters.
Abstract: A camera's field of view is determined using image data and location information. Accurate augmented reality representations are provided based on the determined field of view in an absence of a priori knowledge of the camera's field of view.
Abstract: Realistic augmented reality (AR) augmentations are produced in reliance on a 3D virtual model modeled after a real world environment. Light and shadow parameters for the augmentations are produced not only from real world parameters such as, for example, a real present position of the actual sun, but also from virtual world parameters which characterize the virtual model or virtual objects within the virtual model.
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for providing alternate reality (e.g., virtual reality) representations to users. Exemplary methods employ data collections (e.g., stacks) which affect the virtual representations of baseline virtual models. Data collections contain layers which contain deltas. The deltas specify modifications to the baseline virtual reality world or model. The deltas may be geocoded, while the layers that contain them may not be geocoded. Separately selectable layers are used to temporarily modify or substitute baseline data or virtual elements (e.g., virtual objects) that are ultimately presented to a user on an output device. Conflict resolution algorithms harmonize conflicts between layers of a collection.
Abstract: Images and/or videos have associated therewith information like location and orientation information for the camera used to captured the images/videos. The associated location and orientation (or pose) information facilitates subsequent processing for producing accurate and convincing augmented reality (AR) outputs. In addition, some embodiments associate user-specific information with images or videos for producing customized AR content on a user-to-user basis.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are disclosed for providing augmented realities including trails or paths for navigating a real world space. Methods, devices, and systems are also disclosed for providing augmented realities for other forms of navigation guidance or tracking assistance.
Abstract: A camera's field of view is determined using image data and motion sensor data. Accurate augmented reality representations are provided based on the determined field of view in an absence of a priori knowledge of the camera's field of view.
Abstract: Augmented reality systems and methods are disclosed which provide for representing imperceptible aspects of telecommunications networks as visual, auditory, tactile, or audiovisual stimuli. In some embodiments, the representation is a type of augmented reality from the perspective of a user on the ground, such as a technician deployed in the field.
