    Abstract: Data are read out from a memory of a mobile remote device, for example a vehicular device, by a server. A wireless connection is established between the server and the device by the server. Subsequently, an authentication check is carried out on the server side and a VPN (virtual private network) is established from the server. The data are read out from the memory of the device to the server by way of the VPN network and stored.
