Patents Assigned to EgoKiefer AG
  • Patent number: 4842571
Abstract: A flexible link belt has a flexible belt woven of weft and warp threads or filaments leaving interstices between the filaments. Links, such as snap buttons or gear teeth of synthetic material, have one portion on each side of the flexible belt. The link portions are secured to each other directly through the interstices by melting the link portions to each other through the interstices by injection molding.

  • Patent number: 4830809
Abstract: A flexible link belt is made by injection molding link portions into and through a flexible carrier webbing, whereby the link portions are also bonded to each other through holes in the webbing. The injection mold used for making the links has two mold sections each with a cavity portion corresponding to the respective link portion. The carrier webbing is held in place between the two mold sections. An injection nozzle reaches into one mold portion and a movable core reaches into the other mold portion preferably in such a position that the injection nozzle and the movable core face each other across the flexible webbing. The core distributes the injected plastics material into both mold portions and so that the plastics material must move primarily through the holes or interstices in the webbing.

  • Patent number: 4806405
Abstract: A link chain or string is produced in an injection molding tool in such a way that a plurality of links threaded onto a string or cable are molded simultaneously, for example in the form of spheres. In order to avoid the transmission of axial forces to the links, which forces might disturb the axial spacings from link to link, the injection molding tool is provided with restrictions which reduce the cross-sectional area of molten material flow channels to a minimum. Preferably, the restricted area is located directly at the respective link. The channels all lead to a common injection molding channel to which the molten material is supplied for thus simultaneously casting or molding of a plurality of links to strings or cables. The restrictions make sure that any forces resulting from shrinkage during the cooling and solidifying cannot shift the balls or links even if the latter are not yet completely solidified internally. Thus, errors in the on-center spacing between adjacent links are avoided.
